Saw today that Ensor said after this upcoming season the conference slate will go back to 20 games rather than remaining at 18

...and they got rid of the requirement for playing teams with good RPIs.

Worth brining up again: MAAC needs to expand to 12 teams - two six team divisions ... play each team twice in your division, once in the other ... total 16 games

Be careful what you wish for - we have not yet rehabilitated our NEC-like status and given Ensor's "love" for Siena, we could be caught up in the NEC net...

The heavily Catholic MAAC is never going to jettison a couple of teams because they aren’t financially viable. I don’t see many teams in the northeast that fit the profile of what the MAAC profile. If they were willing to allow public schools in I would love Vermont ( would Vermont love the MAAC?).
I think we are stuck with unbalanced MAAC until the BE expands. Maybe the A10 gets raided and they rejigger and a couple of lower A10 teams shake loose. I can’t see Fordham wanting to leave but maybe at that point they are asked to leave.

Only way the MAAC should expand is if the CAA goes full football conference and the non-football schools (Drexel, Northeastern, Hofstra) become available.

Jamion will turn this ship around I'm confident. The MAAC needs a good Siena. I don't like going back to 20 games should be at 18. You can't stay at 11 forever. Someone either needs to go OR go to 12 and two divisions and 16 games. Also think the tournament going to Atlantic city in 2020 is a HUGE mistake. TUC will be back in them in the mix by 2023.

The MAAC needs to cut the cord somewhere around Syracuse, and at exit 17 on I-287. 8 is enough. Push the rest to become the best, athletics and academics (Siena, Iona and St Pete's have work to do) equally. Don't get mad, get better.

Trend in D1 is for conferences to go to 20 league games. MAAC is following trend (that they had already set) as it is more difficult to schedule when less teams are looking for OOC games. I hate an unbalanced schedule, this was the right thing to do.

Sorry, are you saying Siena is not in the same academic category as the others you did not name? Pretty sure Siena matches up favorably with all the MAAC schools except FF and Marist.

Could LeMoyne work as an expansion team? I remember they used to win baseball in the MAAC like every year.
