Shaka Smart coaching tree, seems articulate and energetic. A couple of championships in the NEC. Promising option.

Welcome Coach Christian!! A younger coach who I understand is getting married very soon?
Coach has his hands full for sure rebuilding this program and hopefully keeping some of the potential transfers.

The more I think about this (and I've let it age for almost 24 hours), the more pissed off I get. WhineLand has shot a lot of torpedoes at Siena over the last month and gotten some major hits - announcing that JW was the leaker didn't help JW now or in the future and may have blown up Beilein's chances as some have speculated. Now he's throwing out his "scoop" and that may also torpedo JC's chances if, in fact, no offer has been made. Siena doesn't look like an employer that would instill a lot of confidence in a potential employee.

Thinking the same thing. UCONN fired Kevin Ollie and BAM...they name Danny Hurley in a NY minute. This should have been in the works when they finally started to acknowledge that Patsos was the biggest mistake ever made.

I get it but Siena/D'Argenio have gotten killed for making lazy/quick decisions in their hires the last two times out. I have no problem with them going through the process to find the right one. And, I don't think 2 weeks is an necessarily a particularly long time.

Me either, I am saying the process should have started in January. And maybe it did, but boy if it did then we are all way off base thinking this is such a great opportunity for an up and coming coach....that is really what has me worried. Beleive me, I want the program and even bigger, the school to rise above all of this.

Does anyone know who, if anyone (excluding PH), assisted Siena in the process for hiring a new coach. Just curious.
