You would have to think Pitino is the exception no?

If I was Beilein, and understood I was the clear 2nd, 3rd, or 4th choice, I would be annoyed. Wouldn't you in his place MTS? Pitino is trash. For many of you to support him over Beilein......

Lol c'mon dude. I like Beilein and would be very happy with him as HC, but these two aren't even in the same stratosphere as coaches. Not a knock on Beilein, but Pitino is a hall of famer. I would hope he doesn't take it personally that Siena may have prioritized Pitino.

Siena goes after a guy who is universally considered damaged goods who is actually possibly being investigated by the FBI over you. Beilein will get this job, but what a crappy situation he is now coming into. The fans wanted Pitino. In my opinion, he is already very unproven recruiting D1 talent, now he has sky high siena fan expectations. It is almost an impossible spot now. The only hire for Siena that salvages this is Becker. Becker is the guy I think is someone Siena should pay overboard for. He gets them over this Pitino crap and gets them a coach on Frans level.

I was right on Patsos getting 300-400 thousand and walking away. I will be right on this IF Siena does it. Siena should offer Becker 700,000 a year for 6 years.

I get that he's damaged goods, but I just can't imagine Beilein holding it against any mid major school for taking their shot if they have any chance at Pitino. Who knows. Don't really agree that it's a bad situation to walk into. Some will be upset Pitino wasn't the guy, but I think the past decade of basketball is such a dumpster fire that even a sign that we're on the right path would really resonate with the fanbase. Definitely agree on Becker, though. That's the guy I've liked all along. He's kicked our ass up and down the recruiting trail, think he'd be a home run.

Poop, I will flat out say right now, IF Siena gets Becker, Grand slam hire. Noone can argue he wouldn't be a great hire, including any MAAC fan and click:). I have just been really astonished how your fan base blasted patsos for his behavior and then almost basically drooled over hiring Pitino. Human nature really showed here. Misspractice in particular was astonishing in supporting pitino IMO.

Yankee... Get your feet under you. I said it in another thread and I'm going to say it here... Patsos was not fired for transgressions. Read it. Understand it.

Why would Patsos AND his lawyer leave up to 2 years that was left on the contract on the table. He went out pretty quietly when they could have fought it. If there were no transgressions they had a good case.
