We should have given Brady a chance years ago. But not now.

I want to know the coaches strategy for building a staff and where he will target recruits and how he has developed some type of sustained success against those criteria. Where will they recruit? What connections do they have to Northeast AAU programs? How disciplined are they and what is plan for off season workouts to develop players skills and physical ability? Have they been associated with kids who have had discipline issues and how did that turn out? Are they willing to work the alumni network and build interest in the community?
Jimmy has a strategy for transfers that worked wel in Baltimore but not Albany due to difference in talent base. Jimmy also was going to build Rocks relationship with Jordan hire and that didn’t work either. Being more involved in community wil also help build and sustain interest.

I like 2 guys on that list, Tobin is tied to Mitch, I don’t think he gets a serious look, Mason was passed on by Marist enough said, Pecora/Brady ... nah, no thanks and McNamera I don’t really care for, he’s not even top assistant at this point in his career. Like to see a few more names .... anyone have someone else in mind that hasn’t been brought up....?

Yeah, that's a good approach.............let's just throw more names out here when none of us have any idea what the hell we're talking about. We have no clue as to who is available or would be interested. Just tossing names around is absolutely meaningless. Do you suppose that there is a process in place to identify potential candidates for the position? Do you think that process might result in identifying some people that none of us have ever heard about or would even think about, as well as the plainly obvious names that keep getting mentioned on here? I don't know what purpose you think mentioning someone's name accomplishes, but I guarantee you that no one involved in the search process is checking this board to see who they might want to include as a candidate.

Yeah I don’t think Siena has the right to be sanctimonious at this point. It’s fun to speculate.

I would think all the interested parties have been expressing interest either directly or brought third parties and they have a list by now. The issue is how they refine the list and apply the criteria to the caudate assuming the criteria is good

I'm ok with tossing out names and then listing their positives - if there are negatives, as seen by others on the board, perhaps we could hold off on the indictments - lets try and be positive going forward. I know there are many here who relish the future opportunity to say "I told you so!" but we should limit those views for the incumbent and not the maybes. We've had enough strong negative expressions about our previous head coach and he is gone. Case closed. I also think we need to rehabilitate our views/feelings about the kids that remain - there have been way too many slams that many of them are not D1 caliber. Well folks, the bottom line is they are scholarshipped athletes on a D1 team, OUR TEAM. They also have ALL played at this level ONLY under a lousy coach with no system. Some will leave, others will remain and we need to give them a chance to show what they can do under our new head coach. I'm optimistic that all of them will be better utilized. Will the slow get quicker - maybe, maybe not - that depends on a couple of factors - did our previous HC strip the heart out of them or are they deficient in fast twitch muscle fiber (i.e., a long distance runner vs a sprinter - they aren't the same)? Let's see what shakes out - there will be plenty of bandwidth available in September/October when we see what the pieces have been assembled into.

Exactly, and we have experience just how different the team looks when a better coach comes along.
