So at the uconn game today I found out that it’s entire fan base stands up at each start lot the half until the first uconn bucket is made. Now I realize we run the risk of standing up for a half an hour if we ever tried that, but maybe there’s something less physically taxing to try?

I would love if the Saint’s fans did that. Let’s stand until we get a new coach.

I used to do that, now I just sit there with my mouth open, dumbfounded. Eventually that gives way to a blank stare until I know longer remember I’m actually at the game.

We played away games in high school where the bleachers was the bench. One school the home team parents got to the games early to sit behind you with cow bells and horns. It was actually fun and good spirited never had a problem.Timeouts was on the court those where the days.

Siena fans used to do it when they played at the arc. also at the ARC, the students stood and upon the first made Siena basket from the floor, streamers (um, well it was toilet paper) was launched from the stands onto the floor.........it was crazy..................some even went over the track at the top of the rafters where the vinyl curtain was used, and sometimes took a while to get it cleared..........after a few seasons, the admins put the kybosh on that, LOL..............in more recent times, the Dead Zone (me being one of the 3 originators) got the crowd jazzed up prior to the beginning of each games at the Knick/Pepsi, naming the defeated opponents one by one, handing out signs, getting a bunch of sections involved and there were times when we were allowed to finish that cheer before they started the game......the best part was watching the opposing players in their huddle watch the fans as this was going on rather than concentrate in the huddle just prior to tip, the looks on their faces were priceless.........oh, those were the days...............

Back in the day when the Siena Saints were known as the Indians, a group of 21 Seniors called the Mystic Knights of McGuire (Hall) decided to beat a drum in the middle of the quad 24 hours a day until our Division II basketball team won its first game of the season. It took two weeks for the team too accomplish that feat. If you live in the Capital District I don't have to tell you what the weather is like during the basketball season. We built a makeshift shed out of flats and burned whaever wood we could get our hands on in an oil drum to survive the cold. We drew hour long shifts. The local TV stations covered the story and eventually, as the drumming extended into the second week, other students volunteered to take some shifts. It was a tradition that intelligently was never repeated. I guess that why we are called fans, as in fanatics of Siena basketball.

Let's stand at one of HJs establishments. That should win over papi the wino and HJ as it impacts his bottom line. It will undoubtedly be more entertaining than a siena basketball game
