I know it has been mentioned before..............but to add such a player to the roster is really something to look into, as being able to add that type of talent is in many ways a faster to improve at our level............Nevada & Loyola-Chicago have done so, and we have seen this occur a lot.............transfers should not be disregarded what so ever, just as long as you can bring in the right ones without compromising any of the schools criteria...........

While I agree that a transfer can be the best way to bring in high-level talent, I can’t see them bringing in one this season. The staff realizes that they are in trouble and need to win this season, so unless a program-changer is out there and wants to come, the staff can’t justify it to themselves as it puts them at risk.
For the potential next coach, I’d like to see a guy who embraces the transfer market (not like Nevada has but 1-2 a year).

Jimmy has brought in two transfers, the problem is he's gotten virtually nothing out of them. Five years of scholarships on Smithen and Degnan produced 246 total points.

Given the lack of success on those three transfers you can understand the administration's reluctance to go that route again.

Off topic: Where does Nico go? Nevada? UMBC?
In 2019, I think Siena *could* be more competitive for transfers due to the new MBA program. At least Siena is a good business school...right?

He was liking Nevada tweets this week for what it’s worth. And it could help us this year for transfers even though I doubt we go for one for guys who have to sit out a year. IIRC the big reason we missed on Jordan Roland was that he was going to graduate on time and would have had to have transferred again for his 5th year (would have sat 1 and played 1 at Siena, then grad transferred).

I would rather see Siena recruit a “blue clip” mid-major player from high school. Note to Welch and Timberlake. Commit to Siena!
