All it does is prove the right coach will win more than the wrong coach who will almost never win.

Listen to yourself. Judging others. Get over yourself. Um, who is the one judging others? The program may be dying a slow death due to the "fair weather fans" bailing out on the program. True fans stick with a team and program through the good times and the bad ones. Enjoy your boring games at the plush SEFCU arena... Wait, what? fair weather fans bailing is why siena is dying? That makes no sense. This program has had and STILL has the largest following in the MAAC and probably will even as the program falls further into the abyss. The fall off has NOTHING to do with fans, fairweather, diehard or casual..... and many have already voiced their opinion to the admin as fans and as concerned alum. It has fallen on deaf ears as of yet. and to take your line and flip it, True programs/administrations find ways to build their program up, utilizing the launching pad Fran created to bring about a new level of success (3 years in a row is a pipe dream, but how this program has fallen to the very bottom of the MAAC would have been unthinkable, now its a normal reality). True programs make correct hires, and don't stick with the status quo.... true programs in a nutshell don't do what Siena has done the last 8 years. This has nearly nothing to do with a fanbase who has done nothing but keep this team in the top like 80 in attendance pretty much every season, regardless of the record (which this decade is joke). What Siena has done, is neglect (either by a designed plan all along, or just as a completely inept admin) that rich casual fan and fairweather fan base.... you are talking an easy 2000 PAYING customers a game give or take they now lose.... add those in and subtract the free tickets and $5 DD tickets, just that lost revenue alone is a legitimate concern.... yet, here we are, now headed into year 6 with a coach who is better suited for open mic night then leading a team convincing wins/seasons. Has been nice to see some of these upstart mids punch the bigs in the face, it has been a long time since we have seen that here. Hell, has Jimmy ever beaten a top 30 team? top 50? ever?

If nothing else you old timers on here are entertaining for sure. You call you self Saints fans. You say you love the college. And because you do not like the coach, because you do not like the AD, because you are not happy about the way the program is being run and because the team is not winning and living up to the standards we all would like to see each and every year, you are going to cancel your season tickets, stop attending games and pull your funding from the program and college? Until when? When you like the coach? Like the AD? The team starts winning? When the program lives up to the standards of the past? And then what? Renew your tickets, start attending games? and starting writing checks again? You remind me of the neighbor kid who when his team was not winning a sandlot game or when he did not like the way the other kids were playing, took his ball and went home, so no one could play. I am not happy with where the program is either and I will continue to make that known to the College powers to be. But I will continue my season tix as I have for the past 30 years, will attend games and will continue to support the program financially and any other way that I can. Because in my opinion that is what faithful fans do. To each his own. Go Saints!

If there were 8000 season ticket holding fans at every game singing the praises of an 8 win team that’s what you’d get year in and year out. It doesn’t make any sense at all. If your arm is long enough give yourself a great big pat on the back.

I am simply supporting my college and the team that I have been following for 30+ years. Where am I singing praises? Do you guys actually read the posts that you attack? Go back and read my many posts, I am as critical of JP as anyone. To me the program and the school is bigger than any one coach or administrator, and also for the players sake and in the spirit of college athletics, I will continue to support the team.

You still have not answered the questions posed. So once you pull your tix, stop attending games and stop sending $, then what? When do you jump back in?

Why don’t you do what you do and let others do what they do. Both are necessary.

Who said I’m dumping my tickets, I’ve had tix for probably longer than you’ve been attending games. Sorry but I’ve had no use for Patsos actually going back before he was hired ... I didn’t think much of him or his tired shtick even when he was at Loyola. The damage has been done... Just look around at games 2-2.5k no shows speaks volumes.

Others are going to do what they do. I do think pulling support on the program, not matter how you do it is wrong and to be honest kinda of cowardly. If you really believe that change is needed, challenge, fight, promote change. Now that's the end of my posts on this topic, trying to discuss topics with some of you on here, is like running head first into a brick wall. Painful and bloody, waste of time, with no positive outcome.

You grandstand here, oh the program is failing, throw up your arms, but yet blindly follow an ineffective coach, AD, and yes administration down the supposed yellow brick road. How are you, going about making change. I am longer vested than you but than again my generation were rebels not followers, who promoted change. Simply going along with ineptness doesn’t promote change.

Cowardly - good grief - talk about whiners... The simple answer to your question is: I'll buy a new season ticket when, and only when, Siena fires the existing head coach - I won't wait until they hire a new one - there will be plenty of good seats available, on that score I have no concern. The money I had previously donated to the school will once again flow. I've been a season ticket holder since the mid-70's and sat through several losing seasons while enduring bad coaching and not very good basketball. This last stretch of 8 years is just too long and it looks like it will continue for at least another year and possibly more. If Siena Is content with the current conditions, so be it. I'm not and I'm going to the inactive reserve sidelines - I'll follow, watch, root for the KIDS and will still consider myself a Siena fan. One perk of that status, I'll be able to talk to potential recruits as I will no longer be associated in any way with the Program...
You claim to have made your concerns directly to the powers that be - how's that working for you? What exactly did you do? I've had face to face discussions and written several letters - all to no avail. They only hear the clicking of the turnstiles and the clink of coin coming into their coffers.
You are certainly free to continue your support and I am sure you will enjoy the total experience a bit more as the crowd size will make several things in your control easier - i.e., parking, walking up to a concession, using the rest room, and having less traffic leaving the arena environs. If and when the needed change is made you can thank us "cowards" for taking a stand while you sat in the stands...
