Probably the greatest moment as a fan...I still smile and pump my fist every time I hear the call.

I was really hoping for something else, but, ok, this is pretty good too.

Probably the greatest moment as a fan...I still smile and pump my fist every time I hear the call. we have two favs: Marc Brown's free throws to win in Greensboro-first NCAA win, 14 vs 3, first time as Saints (nee Indians), and the "onions, double order" miracle in Dayton! We were there for that historic, heart -pumping, breath- stealing victory and the one in Ohio amidst a sea of red thanks for sharing!

Those were the days! How good were the General and Tom too? No one was (is) better then the General on the radio ... made up for not making as many games when we were living in Virginia

I just listened to this for probably only the second time ever, having always watched the TV replay. Brings tears to my eyes. Lots of them. Damn near ugly cry. Kudos to Robert for bringing his barely controlled passion to that call. Absolutely perfect.

I cried watching the TV news after seeing the Stanford game while at Eamon's. My friend and I were two guys in suits along with a 100 or so crazed students. I kept switching between the channels watching highlight after highlights.

And it was bittersweet watching our fellow Franciscan college, the Bonnies, knock off UCLA in the First Four game last night. It wasn't that long ago that we held our own with that A-10 team.If a change does not take place soon, all we will have as Siena fans will be these memories...

Good for the Bonnies - let's see if they can make the Round of 32 against Florida something Siena has done three times since 1989. Bonnies first NCAA win since 1970 last night.

It's kind of funny to look at a lot of these posts. They're like that party game where you have a line of people and show some statement....any statement....to the first person who then has to pass that statement on to the next person, who then passes it on to the next person, etc., etc. By the time statement gets to the end of the line, it doesn't bear any resemblance to the original statement.
Here, we have a great post ("This Will Make Your Day".......and it did!) that brings us back to a time that many of us will cherish forever, and as we go along with subsequent posts, they no longer pertain in any way to the original post. What's that called? Hijacking?
Thanks for throwing that original post out there, '71. There are some other great calls by the General and Tom at that same link. Just like being there all over again.

I had forgotten just how great a broadcasting team we had...I have been a little critical when I think of our current broadcasters but then how can they compete with perfection
