Then give him the 750 and let him walk. Lame attempt at this "misconduct" angle is unbecoming. OR just let him coach another year and pay him next year. I truly didn't realize your moral compass was so far askew... No need to respond I'm not going to debate you on JP actions or your statement of support for all his actions over the last five years - it is what it is and you are who you are, a man from a good family who seems to have lost his integrity somewhere along the way. You're going to bring my family into this on a basketball board and tell me not to respond? The only integrity I constantly hear about here are wins (too few) and losses (too many). IF there's suddenly some damning immoral actions by our head coach that justify firing him for cause so be it. I'm just wondering why we ve never heard about them until an 8 win season, and not directly after an OT loss in last years MAAC final??

I don’t think Darg approves a trip to Cali for Patsos if he was about to be fired or under investigation. I have multiple conference calls everyday for work via WebEx with people across the globe. It’s like being in a face to face meeting. Do I think Patsos is getting canned? No. He’s got to much money left on the deal. Is he under a lot of pressure to land 2-3 high impact recruits that he hasn’t been able to land yet in his tenure? Yes, but he knows this year is it for him. If he’s not winning 18-20 games he’s gone. Look for some cupcakes on the schedule to build confidence early in the year and that’s okay. Fran use to play NJIT 2x a year and that was okay because he was going to the NCAA tourney.

And D’Arg is a clown- so yes I can believe he let him go to California on the verge of being terminated.

Has Siena received its money's worth from Patsos? Clearly, no. Did Siena make a prudent financial decision in guaranteeing the extension? Clearly, no. Is it in Siena's best interest to have a new head basketball coach? Notwithstanding HJ and Papi, clearly, yes. Given the foregoing, would it be prudent for Siena to examine its rights and obligations under the contract with Patsos and obtain competent advice on this subject? Also clearly, yes. Given that most of the candidates Siena might want to speak to are at programs that are still playing, I think Siena has another week or so to get it's house in order before pulling the trigger. I never said we shouldn't get a new coach. The true diehards out here remember me saying if he didn't win 10 games, a change should be made. You should understand better than anyone, he had a contract though. Pay the guy off and we can all move on. IF his behavior was a real issue, this investigation would/should have been done last year. Not now when it's transparent it's being done to void the money he's owed. And what if the behavior in question occurred this year?

Behind the scenes it may have, but I went to every home game, and thought this year as his quietest on the sideline of his 5 years here. IF anything is bought up, I'm betting it's concerning something in the first 4 years. I guess we ll find out soon.

. I guess we ll find out soon. Key phrase there..I dont know what will happen. I'll keep an open mind and see what happens over next week or so. In meantime I urge everyone to relax. For Now Jimmy Patsos is our head coach, no matter how distasteful that thought it. If you want to leave program- go ahead it's your right.

Fran scheduled NJIT twice in one year only once - the first year NJIT became D1 and they were having trouble filling their schedule as I recall being told. Fran was being a nice guy and, in no way, padding our schedule with likely certain wins. I met RiRo and his dad at that first game down there. Almost like a road exhibition on paper - good experience for the kids and we had plenty of others on our schedule so any RPI hit was minimal...

D'Arg did respond to my note. It does appear the admins don't like finishing at the bottom of the league either.

D'Arg did respond to my note. It does appear the admins don't like finishing at the bottom of the league either. Of course not. But are they purely in the survival mode now--more lines of BS about how important men's hoop is to the college, OR will they make some bold moves and do the radical surgery needed to get the patient up and thriving again?

While I admire your persistence in writing Darg, either elaborate or keep,it,to,yourself if you feel it was personal and confidential. I also know people afflicted with the program, but do not divulge by name or even that I have contacted them for professional reasons. Even saying Darg answered your correspondence could possibly kill any further communication he has with you, I am sure he is reading this board.

I'm just wondering why we ve never heard about them until an 8 win season, and not directly after an OT loss in last years MAAC final?? hoopjunkie-if you haven't heard anything about JP then you haven't been listening very well. Or you chose to practice selective listening.

We live in litigious society. I have no idea who you are-you could be Mrs P for all I know. Hmm. I wonder why so many players have left? 70% is a rather large percentage. But there are none so blind as those who will not see. Let me ask you this: would you want your son to play for him?
