5 and 14 overall- Another game where Saints just got worn down. Masiello can really “up” the defensive pressure, he played Shivers perfect, don’t go for his pump fake and play him for the drive, a guy was waiting and Shiver ran right into him for the charge. The loss of Nico has that sort of affect- Shiver was main target of defense. Anyway Penn got worn down for sure – 38 min for the freshmen vs Manhattan is just too much. Team played hard just ran out of gas to a better faster more athletic team. Can’t be turning ball over 25 times and expect to win. Very difficult when you don’t have MAAC level athletes as a team to compete against the Iona’s, Manhattan’s and Niagara’s of conference. I suspect Saints will have same problems of not enough team speed and athleticism vs Monmouth and Rider, but we shall see. Jimmy blames the loss on 1 or 2 guys not showing up every game- problem is when you have a team of role players that's what happens. Shivers isnt a big offensive threat, he is fairly easy to shut down if other team keys on him. Shivers is an excellent 3rd or 4th option on offense Big week next week with Games at home vs Marist and on road vs Quinny- if So-so Jimbo loses them both last place and less than 10 wins pretty much assured. I see a split but hey who knows maybe so-so gets them both. He better because after that schedule gets tougher www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Siena-men-struggle-late-fall-to-Manhattan-12496986.phpwww.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/recaps/011318aab.html

If they don't win both games they will not get 6 MAAC wins. Already lost to them both, need both these wins. If they don't win them both, why expect anything different in the remaining 2/3's of the season as we have seen in the first 1/3 of the season, 1-5 in first 6 games, only 12 games left. If they don't win them both why should I think they will do any better than 1-5 in the next 6 and again 1-5 in the last 6. Good thing they only play Iona and Rider once. The easier schedule should help to maybe get 6 MAAC wins. I hope for the players sake they do win them both.

If Siena doesn't right the ship it will be interesting to see the attendance at the MAAC tournament at the TUC especially if Siena is out after the 1st game...the arguments will come up again to move the tournament.

That talk COULD start again and there's 2 schools of thought on that I think. Either one sort of gives an argument to the people looking to move the tournament.. One is it is a home advantage for Siena that should not exist for a conf tournament. And the other is attendance. Typically, attendance is better here than most other locations. Now if Siena over-performs and somehow makes it to say the semis then, attendance overall will be better but you will hear the home advantage argument. If we do not get past the 1st game, then attendance will most likely be very low and people will say hey, XXXX can do better there. Personally, I think it should rotate and wouldn't mind an experiment near one of the casinos in CT. I'll sit back and duck at everything to be thrown at me now.

To maximize revenue and to give the best impression as a solid mid major conference it should be held at the tuc every year. If they must rotate it should be at one of the other teams home and not s neutral site that was a predictable disaster.

Next three opponents are a combined 15-37 (.288). Weakest three game stretch on the entire schedule.
Don't embarrass yourselves.

There is zero revelatory information in this post, but the gif makes me laugh at least.
