Now that we have a better sense for this team and the rest of the MAAC and non-conference play is over, I figured I’d start a thread for MAAC predictions.
12/29 @marist: Win 1/1 vs Quinnipiac: Win 1/5 vs Niagara: Win 1/7 vs Canisius: Win 1/11 @iona: Loss 1/13 @manhattan: Loss 1/18 vs Marist: Win 1/21 @quinnipiac: Win 1/25 @monmouth: Loss 1/29 vs St. Peter’s: Win 2/2 vs Manhattan: Win 2/5 @fairfield: Loss 2/8 @canisius: Win 2/12 vs Iona: Loss 2/15 @rider: Loss 2/18 vs Monmouth: Loss 2/21 vs Fairfield: Win 2/25 @st. Peters: Loss
Overall: 10-8 Home: 7-2 Road: 3-6
Lots of 50-50 games on the schedule it feels like. Schedule is definitely way easier early in the year, which is a good thing with this young team. 10-8 would probsbly get us a bye unless we got screwed on tiebreakers.
For what it’s worth, RealTimeRPI has us going 11-7 in MAAC play, RPI Wizard has us going 8-10.

While I hope for 18-0 obviously...being completely realistic what I've seen so far with Siena and the rest of the MAAC - I'd say 9-9. 8-10 would not surprise me and neither would 10-8. Siena will be right on that borderline for top 5 possibly coming down to tiebreakers.
The schedule is much easier to start the MAAC slate (at Marist, Quinnipiac, Niagara, Canisius) so 3-1 is a must at least. I don't think Siena will win more than 2 or 3 road games so every MAAC game at the TUC is huge.

I said 7-9 but I should have said 10-12 as I have them going 10-8. We have an easier maac slate this year so it should help reach the win goal.

I wish there was choice for 9-10 wins-- because that's what I have them going ..I went with 9-9 because well it's a so-so type record..LOL

I went with 10-12 wins, although 8 or 9 is just as likely. If the Saints continue to play a lot of small ball I like their chances of getting to 10-8 ... good for 4th or 5th place in the conference. Got to hold serve at home because road wins will be a struggle until these guys can learn to close out games. I'll guess 7 home wins and 3 road wins.

I went with 0-3 but this team has shown some ability to overcome the negative impact of their coach. Combine that with how bad the MAAC seems to be this year and I seriously thought about going with 4-6 but SnowSnowflake is teetering on a razor-edge and will likely end up losing the team so I stuck with 0-3. To be clear I will be incredibly happy for the players if I am wrong!

To be clear I will be incredibly happy for the players if I am wrong! Barring an injury to Nico - no way that happens. I'm certainly no fan of Jimbo but he isn't Mitch. He will beat bad teams and win games. The MAAC is terrible. Siena will win minimum 7 MAAC games and possibly as many as 11 (probably not because he's only so-so).
