I believe the refs showed once again last night that they are not going to let a mid-major upset a higher conference opponent on their home court. Siena outscored by 20 from the line. An unreal amount of ticky tac fouls called against Siena (lost 5 points on two questionable calls against Clareth) and Campbell was creamed by a Louisville defender on his attempted 3 to tie to end the game.

I believe the refs showed once again last night that they are not going to let a mid-major upset a higher conference opponent on their home court. Siena outscored by 20 from the line. An unreal amount of ticky tac fouls called against Siena (lost 5 points on two questionable calls against Clareth) and Campbell was creamed by a Louisville defender on his attempted 3 to tie to end the game. when you take predominantly 3 pointers at the shot clock buzzer and the ball never goes anywhere near the paint, there are no fouls to call....memphis spent most of their time under the hoop, they are more athletic, hence a sh*t load of fouls.

I don't disagree that style of play contributed to the foul differential. But, I also think that Memphis was allowed to be very physical on defense, both on the ball and hitting/holding cutters.
