If you are going to schedule like a top mid major then you better recruit like one. If not...we’ll you are seeing the results you get.

In an exhibition? Don’t know if that’s relevant. Oh I forgot, exhibition games don’t matter, ooc games don’t matter, it’s all about the Maac; and then the Maac tourney, right? I’d rather have JP say it’s all about the NCAA/NIT tournament as in a season without them it is a failure especially with four seniors.

Nothing wrong with that schedule,it’s right here it should be for a mid-major that is now in the “5th year of a major FIVE YEAR REBUILD, that was put in place by the HC when hired. When FGCU Bucknell and UVM are embarrassing you and not just beating you, you have major issues. Those are not BCS programs. It’s one excuse after another. I wouldn’t expect it last year or the year before when you are playing juniors and seniors. I would hope not to see it this season, but more talented and older teams do that to you. So should every mid-major have a top-50 toughest schedule in the country when they start 2-3 freshmen and 1-2 sophomores? It won’t be top 50 when the season shakes out....that’s Rex speak for EXCUSE! Every years there’s a new one.

Forget the won loss record-- 10 games into season Sagarins, Ken Pom and RPI are starting to become realistic numbers on where the team and program stands nationally in relation to other D1 programs. Sagarins is #264, Ken Pom is 286 and RPI of about 250-- those numbers are unacceptable to a lot of Siena fans 5 years into a 5 year plan. Many Siena fans think the current head coach is not getting it done, and absolutely no indication he ever will be able to consistently win here at Siena. A small minority of fans are fine with the record and bottom 20% standing nationally. Good news is good chance for a win today on road at one of weakest teams in all of D1

getting back to today's game, I like Siena's chances to win today. Bryant might be weakest team Siena plays all year ( Marist and QUinny might object to that) But if Siena can't win today, Saints might not get a road win all season. I do expect Siena to win today as Jimmy preys on teams like Bryant

We keep getting troubling "surprises" - hard to believe JP would admit, let alone allow his control over scheduling to be diminished in any way like he admitted to in the TU article, He may not be able to control the actual MAAC schedule but he and his staff damn well should be working hard to make OOC schedules compatible with the projected team that will be playing them as laid out in the continually renewable five year plan - oh crap....just realize the basic flaw in that logic...I recall how our previous coaches worked to get schedules that "fit" the out year teams to the best extent possible...when good teams were projected, schedules were generally skewed toward getting us a favorable RPI .... in years where we were projected to be very young, the schedules were worked to reflect the "age" of the team and to aid team development, etc....gone are those days...I often think many of JP's actions are aimed at providing a base for his excuses rather than working for the best outcome...this Mickey Mouse Gotham Classic certainly wasn't scheduled to give Siena any boost in attendance - we got rewarded with a home game we would have had anyway....

But, whatever fits your narrative works too. . What narrative? The team stinks! The program right now is terrible. If by “narrative” you mean “truth” then you are absolutely correct. This schedule was perfect. I hope they schedule like this every year. A few low major programs, a few solid mid major programs, a few high major schedule... this is exactly the type of schedule that could win jimmy a big league Job if he ever figured out how to execute against it.

Right. The schedule isn't the problem. The schedule is challenging but in no way crazy. I just heard the Bryant announcers run through Bryant's schedule...now that's nuts. Our schedule was reasonable. Had we won a bunch of games we'd be looking at the makings of a stellar year.

Good win but not going to go crazy you should beat one of the worst teams in the country easily. Let’s see if we can be competitive at Memphis.

What position do "we" play other than as a critic? The pot calling the kettle black - at least the "critics" on here back up their positions with reasons - you are a pure critic - will you be our captain?
