Didn't see this shared/posted elsewhere...although it's primarily about Sammy and THJR, thought the below quote was a little concerning... I wonder which is it? Troy Record: "Potential to sideline him for an unknown period of time"; or the Gazette: ".. Evan & Thomas ... are recovering from minor injuries, but are not expected to miss significant time". I'm hoping for the Gazette's take on the injuries. dailygazette.com/article/2017/10/13/camper-shivers-back-healthy-for-siena

Sophomore year in college I strained my calf and wound up developing tendinitis in my Achilles. Made football practices absolutely brutal, every time you plant it felt like getting stabbed with a knife. Can't imagine playing basketball with it is very enjoyable either. Worst part of it is the only options are to play through it or shut everything down for 30 to 60 days while it heals. Hopefully Evan isn't dealing with that.

I can't wait to hear how Camper does in his first week. I'm sure he'll be behind but if he's running around wreaking havoc on D and scoring on short drives by the time the season comes around, that will bode really well for us. We could really use another long wing athlete to pull this small ball thing off.
He seems the type that's ready to do all the little things and those are the things the team might be missing right now.

We could really use another long wing athlete to pull this small ball thing off. He seems the type that's ready to do all the little things and those are the things the team might be missing right now. So I'm watching this Manny Camper vs. Tariq Johnson game that's on youtube. Never really watched it before. Camper can't really shoot but he's a gazelle with a pretty good ability to attack and defend. Based on his other stats and how shitty he was from the FT line in this game, I'd say his max upside FT shooting wise is 70% tops...and he'll probably be more like 62-64%. And he should not be attempting threes. He can really attack the rim though. I see why he draws so many fouls. He's got the moves off the bounce with spins, hops, and jump stops. He could do to be a bit more consistent with his finishing though. I don't know who to compare him to. I mean he's not as strong or authoritative inside as Franklin (maybe as an upper classman) but he's also probably a better facilitator. He's definitely a guy who can attack the rim from 18 ft and in. He is really bouncy. Give him the ball in a 1 on 1 situation inside the 3 point line and he can make something happen. And he's got good defensive instincts. He really is a wild card. I could see how he'd struggle and be a complete miss but I could also see him develop into an Emmy Andujar plus type...and I mean senior Andujar with all the rebounds, assists, & steals... but more shotblocking. He's just so bouncy.
