Danes fans don't seem to be buying Albany Cup tickets. Why else would I get an email this morning touting their Empire State ticket package? if you buy tickets to the other seven games vs. New York State teams, including the vaunted Oneonta Red Dragons, for $99, you get a ticket to the Albany Cup game for a buck.

Oneonta is only attractive if they bring Brooks BBQ with them

You mean the email that only 200 tickets are available/left to the Albany Cup game on October 3rd (2 months before the game)? The Empire State package includes 7 homes games, Iona/Oneonta/Colgate/Columbia/Canisius/Stony Brook/Binghamton + Siena game ticket at TUC. Iona is a good home game, the last two are SUNY rivals? Not sure what the problem is in trying to drum up attendance at home games and incentivizing people to go to the TUC for the Siena game. Seems like a reach at best on your part.

This is the 2nd year in a row that Albany has realized the only way they can sell tickets is by including the Siena game. Is why they would be completely insane to not want to continue the Albany Cup series with a neutral game played at the TUC every year. Siena has proven two years in a row they can still sell tickets without the Albany game. Albany has not proven that and if they really expect the game to come back to SEFCU they are being delusional. The fairest compromise is a neutral game at the TUC every year. Even better would be to bring in two schools like St Bonaventure and Buffalo and do a round robin tournament at the TUC.

As stated many times, I'd consider a tournament...otherwise scrap the game after this year.

No, the 10,000+ tickets that are "available" to the public on a first come basis. I guarantee your team will not play any other opponent that'll offer your school the "ability" to purchase up to 10,000 tickets (if your team's fans actually wanted them - which I don't believe there's that much interest; maybe a couple thousand who are). Heck, Siena fans can't even purchase a Marist home game ticket over the internet. They make you drive there and physically purchase them. Other team's really don't know how good they actually have it (from a other team' fans' purchasing tickets for a Siena home perspective).

I'd like to see how this year's plan of providing equal opportunity to the fans of both teams to acquire quality seats works out before I make any definitive statements about what the venue(s) should during the extension of the series. However, I believe that if everyone who wants to see the game cannot be accommodated in one potential venue, that venue should not be used.

Look at any rivalry game that hmare in close proximity. Philly schools for example. Or other series that go back and forth. Accommodating every ass isn't a requirement. Sorry... Home and home starting at sefcu in '18 or kick rocks.

You guys can bring in Potsdam instead.

You can join the D-3 board and talk smack with the other SUNY schools.
