Nov. 6 @ Providence Nov. 8 @ George Washington Nov. 16/17 vs. Norfolk State (Mohegan Sun Arena) Nov. 17/18 vs. Holy Cross or Stony Brook (Mohegan Sun Arena)
That's the schedule we know so far.
Home: Charleston, Lehigh, Away: St. Bonaventure, Robert Morris, Hofstra, Holy Cross (could play them twice)
I might be wrong on this but believe the Vermont, Bucknell, FGCU are over. UAlbany series TBD.
If the Albany series isn't played Siena will have 3 games to fill. And we need more home games.
Hope this is the last year of these goofy tournaments and we can start getting in the real ones (i.e. Old Spice, Charleston, Puerto Rico etc).
Only 175 days until tip-off in Providence!

Old Spice is hosted by the MAAC, I assume our time it's coming soon- last was 2014? The other ones? You need to have successful programs. Let's win this goofy one and be successful in the MAAC.

Can file this under horrible scheduling as well. Siena will play Norfolk State at Mohegan Sun on Friday the 16th, if they win they play on Sunday the 18th, if they lose they play Saturday the 17th. I was planning on going to this tournament but no way with that uncertainty of when they will actually play.

Not sure if anybody there had that much influence as to when games would be played in a tournament 150 miles away with bigger names. I was concerned that type of scheduling was almost a done deal when I saw that it was over the course of 3 days and 8 teams involved I think.

I just got an email for tip-off presale, the code is SSAINTS18. Super disappointed with the seat location for pre-sale, think I'll wait and try to get tickets when they go on sale in September.

Ya, pre sale tickets are on the corner. I called Siena about this and they told me that those were the seats that were allocated to Siena by the Mohegan Sun. I'm leaning in the same direction you are.

Believe I paid 10 bucks for a good upper deck seat 2 years ago, was up there for a packed house game featuring Duke and URI, then moved down for Cincinnati vs Penn State and was basically court side for the mid-major games.

Ticketmaster has separate sessions for the mid-major and major brackets. I do believe you need to pay for both sessions if you want to see all the games on Saturday and Sunday. I'm not sure they follow the same format you describe anymore.

If Siena wants to rise back to being relevent again on a national stage, they have to start having better shots at winning recruiting battles against schools from higher conferences such as the A-10 and even lightly regarded power conference schools who may not be geographically close to a recruits family.
The best way to win recruiting battles for players who may be able to play at higher levels is 1) legitimate opportunities of immediate playing time and 2) playing at least 4 to 5 games per year at Power Conference schools who these recruits want to compete against.
As many as possible of their non conference away games must be at Power Conference schools.

As many as possible of their non conference away games must be at Power Conference schools. I disagree with the last part. Once you play all your away games at power conference teams (4 to 5 is a lot) you set yourself up for a perennial losing record. Hard to get any momentum like that. Again, low major programs do this, and not for recruits. They do it to fund their sports programs. A better solution would be to try to gain entry into neutral tourneys with power conference teams. Tough to do but with a hard working staff it can be done.
