Talk about devaluing your brand. for my two seats in 104, i would pay about $600 for the season.... good seats, nothing amazing about the location.... or I can spend $170 and get two seats in 112 for same amount of games and odds are most games, just wander around to a better spot.

We'll, technical error on my part, my long winded post somehow got messed up and didn't take. Here's the short version. I view these discounts (including $5 Dunkin tickets) to be a marketing campaign aimed at attracting "new" Siena fans/season ticket holders. I don't believe they're intended for current season ticket holders who already support the program.

Although they may not be intended for current season ticket holders it sure does ruffle some feathers. Shouldn't the longest tenured and most loyal season ticket holders be the benefactors of the discounts? More unintended consequences.

But, to me, it's no different than say TWC offering ridiculously low introductory cable, phone and or internet rates only to new customers while existing ones can't get them. At least Siena would offer prior this same deal to season ticket holders the discount rate if they haven't already purchased their tickets (as opposed to TWC flat out says it's only for new customers who haven't had TWC in the past year). While some may not like the "entertainment" lately, I still view my season tickets as not only my enjoyment but also a non-deductible charitable contribution. If I were to received a steep discount like this $85 season ticket rate, I'd still donate the difference to Saints Alive so the school gets the extra. But, that's just me.
