are we still on Buie:
Daniel Buie, 6'2" PG, NY Havoc 17's (Troy '18)- A heady floor general who did a fantastic job this weekend in leading his Havoc team to the Gold Division title. Having gotten considerably stronger from the last time we really saw him at the end of last year's AAU season, Buie was able to finish around the basket a lot more consistently because he was more adept at being able to take the contact and not get thrown off his positioning. Buie has an excellent handle and worked just as well with his left hand as he did his natural right. Shooting off the dribble was an aspect where Buie thrived as well as he would isolate his defender and then pull up from 12-14 feet off the dribble and show a nice high release in connecting to make him a lock low-major D1 prospect.
Jake Cook, 6'10" PF/SF, Albany City Rocks 16's (Shaker '19)- The intrigue of Cook is high as he has the length and the athleticism that you like from someone who projects as a stretch 4 going forward. He has added strength from playing with City Rocks on the 15u level last season though he still does need to add more if he wants to be more of a force on the defensive glass. Cook was at his most comfortable on Sunday when he was faced up from just outside the paint as he has seemed to perfect the short jump shot, though when he did post up in the paint he did demonstrate a nice short hook shot that he was able to get over near anyone who defended him in the lane. He was solid throughout the tournament on both ends of the floor and looks able to be at minimum a mid-major level player.
