Dunkers?
Not in any particular order, here are a few to start the conversation:
Bruce Schroeder Mike McGee Alex Franklin Jeff Muscinski Please forgive any misspellings.
There are certainly others worthy of being part of this discussion. For me I love the smaller guys who would go to the rack and throw it down no matter who was in their way. To be fair there have been several bigs at Siena who have played this way too, for me anyway, its just generally not as impressive when somebody over say 6-6ish throws it down in traffic. Also, there have been some great dunkers like Edwin but guys like him didn't generally go into the paint for the contested dunk like the guys I listed.
Anyway, who were your favorites? Why?

Though around only 1 year Corey Easley could elevate with ease and throw it down. And I can still picture Mike McGee at Iona when the pass to him was way over his head but he still managed to catch it and slam it down. And lastly I go along with Jeff Robinson. Definitely can't leave Alex off my list. He especially liked putting it to the Gael Wailers and gave them the Slit Throat sign, though I didn't approve of but realize where he was coming from. Brandon's was also against Iona at the Knick.

Ubiles did 360s in games. Come on. He's at top. Then it's the Manchild Alex Franklin. After that, it's all opinion and preference.

I've always been partial to 2 handed dunkers ... Franklin tops the list and it's not even close.
Also, Justin Miller was pretty good.
While Fields had the best single dunk, also have to give some props to Brent S. for his alley oop dunk vs Syracuse.
As for the best that could have been ... Owen Wignot. Great hops but tiny hands. He had the most spectacular misses.
Funniest was Dave Deters trying to dunk on a breakaway his senior year.

Franklin was the king of the double clutch dunk. He was up there so long...I swear I saw him recite the entire pledge of allegiance once while he was above the rim. He dunked thru you, around you, over you...it didn't matter. He was dunking.
