It doesn't get any better than the first and second round games. Great news, and a great get for the TUC and the Capital District!

Convention center did its job without question...............the conference rooms, banquet areas, media accessibility, and the fact that 3 full basketball courts can fit on the top level swung the vote..........and not to mention the additional hotel space in & around the Arena, no longer need to scatter to Wolf Rd for team lodging, etc...........

It doesn't get any better than the first and second round games. Great news, and a great get for the TUC and the Capital District! I agree 100%, in as much as the regional which was held in 2003 which saw Syracuse (Melo & GMac) come out of the East & eventually win the title............Albany no longer has a shot since those rounds are held at MEGA sized buildings..........and besides 6 games are way better than 3, the more hoop the better.................it won't matter because that weekend will be the greatest sports weekend in our area in a very long time.............the tickets as well will be hotter than hot, each time it was held in Albany, including that first/second round in 1995, the Albany site was easily the first to sell out...............HOPEFULLY, Siena season ticket holders will get a crack at purchasing them (we may have to "dig up" some expired ticket holders to use their accounts to grab any extra seats, wink)...............

I was at the TUC the last time they had first round games and it was absolutely without doubt, one of my top two sporting events to attend live - the other being the World Cup - looking forward to the NCAA's returning!

Eastern Regional Finals weren't too shabby either . . . great to be dancing in Albany again

I attended both the 1/2 and 3/4 round games when they were in Albany. The 1/2 is far and away the most exciting plus there are twice as many games. The only downside are those 1AM double or triple OT finishes.
This may impact my decision to ditch my season tix. In the past the loyalty points or whatever helped get tourney tix. OK. Much like work, they got me.

Glad to see Albany and the TUC back into the mix. We have a very good basketball town. First and second rounds are always the most exciting too.
I guess Siena is not eligible to play in Albany when we hopefully make the 2020 NCAA tournament (hope we make it BEFORE that).

A good reason to hold on to Siena season tickets. Last time it was in Albany I recall the host school season ticket holders got preference for getting tickets.

The best weekend of basketball in this area's history was definitely the Sweet 16 with Syracuse. The streets were like Mardi Gras since the whole city of Syracuse was in the 518.

SU fans disappointed me in 2003. Many of them did not show up until after halftime of the Oklahoma-Butler game.

Very exciting. Tickets will be available to anyone who has attended previous NCAA games as Gorvy said. Can't wait. Hope TUC has a nice face lift by then.
