Some other notables.. 48 Gonzaga $ 7,261,657 56 Wichita State $ 6,920,933 81 Xavier $ 5,710,021 82 VCU $ 5,676,415 91 Butler $ 4,833,565 116 George Mason $ 3,342,681 126 St. Mary's $ 2,956,340 129 St. Bonaventure $ 2,917,071 130 George Washington $ 2,915,197 137 Davidson $ 2,799,370 141 Middle Tennessee State $ 2,726,526 149 Hofstra $ 2,545,499 244 UAlbany $ 1,621,247 250 Vermont $ 1,579,502Some interesting numbers here (this is from 2015-16) Siena is tops in the MAAC and ahead or very close to several high mid-majors/A10 programs. People say Siena has financial issues and maybe they do but they still spend a lot. Time to get a much better return on investment! #Businessschool

I'm not surprised that Siena & Fairfield are in the Top 2, but I'd have to wonder how significantly facilities fees play into this, as they're the only two MAAC teams to exclusively play games off campus in non-University-owned arenas.

Where will Quinny's budget go if it pays Moore's successor $800,000? How much was Moore getting?

I was thinking the same thing ... Gonzaga draws less then Siena - they sell out their on campus arena that holds 6k for every game

Long term Siena should build a nice arena on troop G land that holds about 8-10k. But make seating closer to the court. You can still have private suites and probably make it worth it.

Facilities don't win championships, people win championships. These spending figures mean nothing.

I could be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that Fairfield is undergoing an expansion on campus and will play more games there next when it's done...anyone recall seeing that anywhere?

My dream has always been a 7,500 seat on-campus arena on the former trooper land with all revenues going to the school rather than rent to the TUC. Gonzaga's building is 6,000, Villanova's is 6,500 so winning teams can play in smaller buildings. No luxury space. Pack as many people as close to the court as possible for the best atmosphere. Make season tickets a high priority to guarantee seeing the games. Acquire a route behind the land to connect to Old Niskayuna Road to make getting on and off 87 easier and alleviate traffic on route 9. Hold the Albany and MAAC games at the now "neutral" TUC.

Why, pray tell, would I donate a shekel to help my Alma Mater support your hubby when the product he provides is so substandard - his Shtick does nothing for the image of Siena College that used to be a hallmark in this area. Now go have your sushi hangover breakfast...

Too big for Loudonville. I always thought that the Latham Mall area could have worked well for an arena. Great access to the 87 and only a few miles north of campus.
