The problem is that we are "rebuilding" not "reloading". This program has absolutely no forward momentum. I can't see how anyone can argue with that. We should have 5 junior studs filling the senior class roster next year. We have none. What's the excuse? You folks can be positive that's fine. But saying this team will finish in the top three is delusional. It's based on absolutely nothing. I know this goes back a bit "Hope & Change". I'll take it one step further - a number of us are in the "Hope for a Change" mode.....

Looking at what the other 10 MAAC teams return I think the league will be down next year. A lot of teams (including Siena) lose a lot of talent. Iona will be the favorite but even they lose their top three scorers and top player. The preseason first team is likely to be T. Nelson, M. Seaborn, M. Scott, R. Williams and M. Dixon - not exactly the deepest the MAAC has seen.
If Siena (assuming Nico does in fact stays) and add a few more pieces and the incoming frosh can play we could contend. Big if but it's year 5 so absolutely no excuses for Jimmy!

Most of what teams return are wings.
There's a few decent PGs like McGill, Dukes, Jordan etc.. but after that..you're not very afraid. And the bigs don't scare you either.

I do not agree with nor understand all the pessimism on this board regarding next years Saints. If Nico is healthy and behaves, he will be one of the top 5 players in the MAAC without question. If you looks at this years seniors they all to a man improved significantly since their freshman year under JP and his staff in my opinion. Why not believe the remaining players will also improve significantly? And lastly I do not see any MAAC teams significantly above the rest of the teams for next season. Health, hard work in the off season and a group playing together in their individual roles and I can see the Saints having better than expected season. Maybe a little positive karma from the fan base will help too. The problem is that we are "rebuilding" not "reloading". This program has absolutely no forward momentum. We've been in major renovation/construction mode since Fran left, I think foreclosure is right around the corner!

Jermaine Crumpton? Mikey Dixon? EJ Crawford? Deyshonee Much? Schadrac Casimir? etc, etc. Nico Clareth has perhaps the highest upside of anyone in the league, for sure. However, potential is only good if realized. 3 of those guys might not be there next year, and he's as good as anyone on that list. No question.

No Papi, you of all people should be able to look at PPC (PAST PERFORMANCE CHARTS) ...or don't you bet the horses? ? I do bet horses and PPC is important. Sometimes you have to throw out a race or two due to certain circumstances. I would use Siena in my exacta and triple boxes if it was a horse based on past performance. It's not a nag like you think. You may throw out a race or two, but you can't overlook a Zippy Chippy like career.

No Excuses! 18 wins or better and he'll be back cause it will mean his young team has real potential... 18 wins (minimum) winning overall record, top 5, competitive showing in tournament and keeping the roster intact and I agree he would have earned another year. But no extensions. After that Siena would not be on the hook for any money so without a MAAC title in year 6 then I would definitely move on.

Right MTS...until year 6 and he gets maybe to the MAAC tournament finals and everyone says oh well, he got close, yada yada. Even if he does reasonably well next year he's still not winning the league or the tournament. Maybe he has some blue chippers in the wings for the 18-19 season but it is doubtful. Someone (D'Arg) should be fired for this kind of mismanagement. To the admins: Pay for performance morons!!!
