Albany is cheap. If it cost $1 attendance would be the same as it is now. Those 2 sentences don't even make sense when put next to each other. Fill us in on the attendance at other MAAC schools and what the ticket price are for each. I'm sure the associates in your conglomerate can check each of the sections at those schools soon. We'll wait. We are talking about Siena and its history not IE: Fairfield who regularly has more opponent fans than their mown. Your old enough and smart enough to know why they call the area SmallBany. (scary agreeing with Papi) Siena counts season ticket holders not actually those that came through the door. Attendance is down, and if the school doesn't right the ship it will continue to slide, as it has. The TUC looked empty last night. Those are facts. Can the school redeem itself and get the numbers up, hope so. The MAAC is always a bust without Siena at least going to the semi's, fact, hopefully Siena gets it together and does. Might help if JP let the kids coach themselves.

Nice to see the Saints shoot the ball well, Jimmy did a good job of mixing defenses, press, man to man, 2-3 and 3-2. Disappointing crowd not that disappointing. I was there :-) They shot fairly well. The quality of the product is still piss poor. It was like watching a couple of NEC teams battle. Little, if any athleticism. 95 charges was interesting to watch LOL Manhattan is even worse than I thought. Siena gave them plenty of opportunities to get back in but they have ZERO firepower. I dont recall ever seeing a Manhattan team with NO talent what so ever.

Papi - what's with the "haters" thing. Nice win but against a crap team. BFD. Your standards seems to be far below most of the fan base. Sure, a win beats a loss any day and the team had some really nice plays in the process. Heck it was memorable just for the engagement during the cup and donut routine. I can see this team pulling off an upset in the MAAC tourney but I don't seem them pulling off 2. Even if they do, then what...'Nova? Gonzaga? Sorry, that might be the goal for UA but Siena fans are looking for a different type of season. You're not renewing your tickets. Why don't you just stop going now, or give them to a friend if you have any.

Weak crowd last night was easily predictable - 3 home game in 6 days, with a weekend game two days after playing this really aesthetically displeasing Manhattan team. Now if they don't draw 6,500+ for Saturday night, then eyebrows can be appropriately raised on turnout.
Good to see the Saints bury an opponent, even if it is a weak one. You can only win the game you're playing, Siena can't beat one team and magically be 18-12 this season. Looking forward to Saturday's game.

He has had trouble recruiting since he started with only a few exceptions. He has over recruited non-mobile bigs, under recruited wings, and failed to find a decent real PG in his entire tenure. He is one of those coaches in the MAAC that I think doesn't make Jimmy's recruiting choices look so bad.

You do realize that is the quickest way to derail the coach. if you want patsos to remain the coach you better start buying all the tickets that fans are giving up --- if all 4 of you put up $100,000 each (or just one of your silly little chips) that ought to keep your boy around for awhile.

ALL better than any team in the country averages. Fill us in on what "good," "really good" and "great" shooting is in your grey world.

Afterall where would a program be without their die-hard, true blue fans?

I rode through Beyer Lanier and Mitch. At some point you decide to stop throwing good money after bad. Those attached to the school, i can understand your struggle. Many of you are business people and I find it very interesting to watch the dynamic. You people wouldnt continue to support a business that did business this way. If you owned a bar/restaurant ;-) how fast would you go under if you threw a shit product out to your customers most nights? For some reason this business is looked at differently. There is no accountability what so ever. and a LOT of money flowing.

When citing the close Jaspers-Hawks game as a reason we may be able to beat Monmouth, it was said "Manhattan is a tough defensive team that always grinds out" so we wouldn't have a chance. 94 points later and this win was still apparently no big deal.
I think the truth is somewhere between these lines. Yes we should have beaten Manhattan, which we handily did. Yes we can beat Monmouth, but it's going to take us playing our best defense, mixing the press, 2-3, 3-2 as necessary, and Monmouth going a little colder than what felt like 80% from 3 point land (I know it was actually only like 55%).
It's going to come down to how much each team wants it.

It's going to come down to how much each team wants it. Yeah, the Hawks shot well from three but it's the 2 point shots we're giving up that are really killing us. Monmouth shot 60% from 2 pt land. They are 8th in the league in that category. We made their weakness their strength. Saints were also supposed to win the rebounding battle and they got beat on the boards significantly. This backs up what I saw that they were completely out position and always chasing MU. If you're constantly on the move in man and always behind, you're not easily in position to box out and get the rebound. When you give up 63 points on 2pts + fouls at 60% shooting...with 13 offensive boards..you're practically screwed before you even start talking about 3 pt defense. Vs. CC, Iona, and MU especially...Siena needs to clog the lanes and force them to the perimeter. If you can't stop either the 2 or the 3 now, at least try to stop the 2.
