The Hawks are certainly in town as at 10:30 I saw their bus leave a Wolf RD. motel . Most likely going to Siena for a shoot around. My vehicle was without any torpedoes.

Having Nico back gives us a puncher's chance anyway, if we do happen to hold Robinson we can't let someone else go off and have a big night.

Let's be honest. There's only TWO observations that will be made after tonights game from most out here: 1) "See, we just can't compete with the best teams" OR 2) "Relax, it's only one game. We're a long way from making this right." I'm not sure what you point is because both statements are true. What exactly is our record vs iona and Monmouth over Jimmy's tenure at Siena? Win or lose tonight, over the past 4 years that statement rings true either way. Just how close are we to making this right? Looks to me we haven't made it right yet and we're facing another Patsos patended 5 year rebuild. I guess the first rebuild kind of tanked because it only consisted of 3 solid mid major Patsos recruits. I hope we pull an upset tonight, I only wish our Coach thought so, according to his comment in the Sunday TU the Hawks are by far the better team and we're gonna lose by 30. Nice sarcastic comment, how about he shuts his big mouth and just coaches and tries really hard not to make a giant a$$ out of himself like he did vs the Griffs. So unprofessional. I don't enjoy the hurtful way people attack individuals here on sienahoops. We are all guilty of expressing our displeasure with each other when we disagree. I'm doing right now. The part I don't understand is the ugliness displayed. It's hard for anyone to express themselves properly with the written word. If we had the chance to speak face to face, I'm sure the conversation would be much more congenial. You obviously don't like JP's mouth, personality or humor. You're not alone. But the ugliness that comes out of many of your posts are hard to understand. Jimmy is Jimmy. No one is going to change his personality or his humor. He can't help himself. But to react like you do over the facetious comments that he sometimes makes is pretty over the top. His tongue in cheek post game comments about Monmouth is his way of being humorous, that's his personality. He was challenging his team. You don't have to like it or his humor but you don't present yourself in a very attract manner. Express yourself when there's displeasure, but the ugliness isn't healthy or necessary. We all love Siena basketball.

I don't find him witty, I find him rather insulting and lacking in self-control. There was nothing stated in my post that was untrue or lacking in fact. You love him, I don't! I'm as big of fan of this program as anybody on this board. I'm just not a fan of the coach or his antics, never was, never will be.

The students better show up in numbers tonight. They better show up early. From the opening tip, they better set the tone with some loud rowdy chants/signs.
They set the tone for the rest of the fan base. .Go Saints!

It's not the message quite often, it's the way you deliver it. At the TU I have had conversations about our MBB team with a few season ticketholders. They occasionally go on sienahoops.com to read. While discussing general topics about the players or other recent news about the program, invariably something is said about the negativism by certain members on this board. They (these outside Siena fans) talked about how horrible some of the comments are and how badly it reflects on Siena fans. You certainly have the right to criticize aspects of the program. The point is this. When impartial fans are appalled by the manner in which individuals are speaking about the program, it may not be the message but the way you are delivering it. Your handle, oneindian, has been mentioned to me specifically twice. I mentioned no individuals, they did. For what's worth. See you at the game tonight. Go Saints!!

Just going to throw it out there... Can we all get LOUD tonight? And not loud after a three or breakaway dunk or at a timeout by Monmouth after a good Siena run... I want to be loud the entire game. Marist game we got loud around the 10 minute mark in the second half. I want to have chants and get the place rowdy early. Lets not sit on our hands and have close to 7,000 fans acting like were attending a funeral. Lets get back to the good old days when teams dreaded having to come to Albany for a game... get loud tonight Saints fans A creative fan reaction fueled by pep band and cheerleaders has not taken place at the Knick/Pepsi/ TUC due to multitude of PA commercials and on floor promotions. Maybe if fans started to complain about them . Cheer hard in spite of it. At the ARC I talked to a pep band member who said he gets discouraged about lack of opportunity to play at the TUC but that the band tries to do their best under the circumstances. I so agree.. it seems like the administration has sold it's "soul" for pocket change, it is a college sporting event. Every fart in the stands has "a sponsor" who "brought to you by", it takes the life out of the game. Do we really need some ridiculous "contest" during timeouts? For 2 minutes? Let's give the band and the cheer squad a chance to show their stuff, they work hard to be there.

Get on your feet, Saints fans! Stand up - we need "to take a stand" for these kids. This is our time! Go Saints! Thanks homie

Point taken, my approach is one of being direct (maybe at times too direct). I do not mince words. You'll always know where I stand. Maybe I'll work on my delivery. Funny I guess it just matters what side of the fence you're on because I've run into quite a few fans that attend and others that are somewhat casual fans that have expressed disgust as to how our coach conducts himself in public; during games, at pressor's and how he quick to lay blame on players. They are equally appalled at the way our program is being represented. I had a coworker approach me last week who happens to ref high school games and knows I'm a season tix holder. He asked what was up with the team, he said he's been hearing quite a bit of chatter about our coaches conduct, none of it good. The word is out and it just might be why Jimmy's having trouble signing kids when competition is involved or signing higher profile kids. Hope we get a win! I'm pulling for Nico.

Having Nico back gives us a puncher's chance anyway, if we do happen to hold Robinson we can't let someone else go off and have a big night. Correct, like the 22 year old sophomore Seaborn.

Correct, like the 22 year old sophomore Seaborn. also Hornbeak.............but the guy who is a tough SOB is Austin Tilghman, at barely 6'1" he is a bruising physical 230lbs, he isn't very fast but would think Lavon may need to check him at some point ............the 2 headed post monster of Brady/Quinn get them 13pts - 9.5rebs-2blks a game, we need to go at them hard inside...........Stewart is returning home, has been declining steadily each yr for them, and is basically a chucker at this point, he won't defend or rebound.............have to keep Hawks off the line as much as possible as they are an efficient 75% at the line..............

1.) Protect the ball. 2.) Don't put yourself in positions where you need to chase faster players. 3.) Make it half court game.
Turn it over. You chase. Miss threes. You chase. Play man to man vs faster players. You chase.
Don't chase.
