I'd say a lot of it is on the coach. Like when he has to put in a particular sophomore who swats at rebounds instead of grabbing them. And who doesn't get back on D after celebrating a rare left handed finish in traffic

No, coach doesn't walk on water. I can't say I am a huge fan, but come on, you need to have some pride as players and seniors. You need to be ready from the opening tip to go into the fox hole "together". None of these seniors seem to have any edge to them, emotion wise, and that's on them, not coach. This team is lead by a bafoon with no self discipline. A team reflects its leadership or lack there of! The fish stinks from the head down. No mystery.

You can't act like that when things aren't going your way. I mean Jordan Watson seems like the most composed and together coach on the sideline most games

I kind of doubt that regarding a young assistant but maybe you're right. Why do you say that?

Is there any realistic chance JP gets shit canned after early March? What can he do to accomplish this?
PIG loss seems to be on the table.

Post game Presser-- not much you can say- this team is "talent challenged" after top 4-- yeah Smithin and Shivers play hard- but they are not talented offensive players. EF is not a physically talented big man- all 3 players play hard ( most of time) it's not their fault. We are not a balanced team , and heaven help us after seniors graduate youtu.be/wlceUrsy3tY

The head coach was a complete embarrassment tonight. I don’t know what set him off but he was out of his mind tonight and I can’t believe it took the ref’s that long to toss him- and he definitely deserved it. I was happy as we actually got someone trying to coach the team rather than spend all their time arguing over shit that happened 10or 15 minutes ago. A complete embarrassment and this is from somebody that has been hesitant to call out JP as I would prefer to make a full year assessment before making a judgement.
Player assessment- Brett was just plain bad tonight and seniors need to make free throws in crunch time and that didn’t happen. Quis was spectacular going to the hoop tonight but brutal from long distance. Teams will pack it in on us from here on out and dare us to beat them from the outside- that doesn’t bode well for us based on my observations. A very bad loss.

Although we have Monmouth twice and at Iona on Tuesday- Siena still has two with Marist and Niagara and Manhattan at home. Should win at least 3 more and might avoid the PIG. If we play in the PIG we'll win it. I don't have a lot of confidence in the Siena administration. Siena was a top midmajor program 7 years ago and they pissed it all away. Who knows who even does the hiring and firing.

Funniest, IMO, line of the night, on ESPN3, came from Tommy H when he said Canisius has adjusted to Siena's offense and switched to a 3-2 zone WITH ALL FIVE PLAYERS IN THE PAINT - not far from the sad reality. I think we should deflect SOME of our criticism of our bench "offense" as it is pretty damn clear that those kids have been told, in no uncertain terms, NOT to shoot PERIOD! Another chuckle came very early when the ESPN3 coverage was starting - the General was commenting that the game had what might be a record crowd given the importance of the matchup (also RR's induction but he didn't cite that at the time) and the producer then switched the feed to a view of the TUC with not one damn soul in it - immediately switched to the Siena bench following the intro of starters - hilarious oops that actually may be a view into the future if this HC continues his reign! As I am in Florida (thankfully) until the 17th, I gave my tickets to a friend - he went last night and doubts he will go again and he is a huge D1 fan (UConn).

Isn't he playing in the Netherlands now? (I'm sure he is mentally)

It is unbelievable how players careers are wasted here--- a sad reality with this mediocre coach. He probably wouldn't even win the northeast 10.

Because any one of those assistants with a shred of self respect and a winning life plan will be resigning on March 10th. Probably more than one as I see it.
