Huerter, on ESPN, noted we only made one jump shot - game plan cast in the blocks - of cement I was hoping to see a shot chart, because I swear we did not score a basket outside of the paint. I remember only one made jump shot, and that was in the paint. That's incredible. Hard to imagine.

You can't pound it inside and win. Amazing the game was as close as it was. 3 point shots need to be taken once it goes inside it never comes out. These guys scored 1000 points with smoke and mirrors. Lavon's missed FTs might have been the difference. He certainly didn't try to miss them.

Wow. Thought this one would be a win for sure. For pride alone. This one was on the players.
Brett was so soft tonight. Very timid. No emotion. Had no confidence in shooting the ball. Didn't show up mentally or physically. That was the biggest surprise of the night for me. He played like a scared freshman tonight.
I guess I just thought these seniors as a group were a lot better than they really are. Very sad to see.
Refs didn't help things. They were pretty bad as well. Hope they look at film.
Regarding defense, once you get 10 or more down at home in the first half for the second time in a row in front of a good crowd, and its because the other team is making easy shots and your playing soft on defense, I would think about substituting all 5 guys out. You tell the team coming in to play defense with tenancity, emotion, and attitude for the next 5 minutes. It might just spark something in the starters if it works.
In a season filled with many losses, this by far is the worse loss of the season for me. Just never expected this to happen being down by more than 15 at home...again.
Hope they can pull it together for Iona.

I had a guy in my box that was convinced the DOBO was coaching the team, and before JP got ejected, was the top assistant. I'm ready for a change. The lack of talent has become alarming. The DOBO needs someone to talk to him. It was like he was trying to convince everyone he was the lead assistant. I don't know who he is but he thinks he is way more important than he really is. He was all over the refs and even Greg had to cool him off. He is atrocious.

Hope they can pull it together for Iona. Brett had an off game-- but its on him? Are you kidding? If all 4 of our seniors aren't "clicking" we can't win. We have NO bench to pick up any slack- we are pretty much consistently getting outscored by Opponents bench by 15 to 20 points a game. Kids are afraid to shoot the ball, and opponents know it - team is side ways right now- and that starts with head coach and his recruiting- sometimes the other guy just has more talent. We have no player on roster recruited in last 3 years that has avg over 5ppg for a season. After our seniors we played Smithin shooting 32% from floor avg 2.6ppg in 16.8 min, Shivers is shooting 37% from floor, 23% from 3 and 3.2 ppg in 16 min a game, and Evan Fisher shooting 28% from floor, 17% from 3, and giving us 1.9ppg in 10 min a game-- do you think Siena might have a lack of talent problem? This is bad recruiting - kids are trying as hard as they can

This is bad recruiting - kids are trying as hard as they can I agree. Statistically maybe not his best game but he had a couple steals where he jumped a pass up top for a fast break. He was atleast giving effort. This was a game made for Lavon underneath. And of course marquis made some great plays. You watch the game in the first half thinking Siena is right there then you look up and they're down 7. That's what happens when you have zero 3pt shooters

No, coach doesn't walk on water. I can't say I am a huge fan, but come on, you need to have some pride as players and seniors. You need to be ready from the opening tip to go into the fox hole "together". None of these seniors seem to have any edge to them, emotion wise, and that's on them, not coach.
