Bigs are going to have to step up again. hopefully JP is learning, meaning that he plays considerable zone D and perhaps get Huerter out there where he has nice length to defend the Griffs wanting to launch many 3's......our frontcourt can do some damage offensively in this game if allowed the right scheme, while also controlling the glass!!!!!!!!!!!!

This isn't Quinny on Saturday, the guys are going to have their hands full. Everybody loves to beat Siena, the Griffs will be up for this one. If memory serves Khalil played about 90 seconds in the loss out west.
I just checked, he played 13 minutes with 2 points. Wasn't that the first game with Long at the point?

With no Richard, I don't like the chances...unless they zone it up again and the bigs play a perfect game again...or Wright plays like it's November.

Siena usually wins at home - only two losses to Vermont/Iona clearly better teams. This is a game Siena should still win. Though I agree 'Quis needs to start making shots. Early line has Siena favored by 3.

Looking at the standings and schedules the magic number for avoiding the PIG is 11. 10 and it could come down to tiebreakers.

Prediction: Huerter scores in bunches. He has to LOOK at the basket first.... Very true about TH looking to shoot. I remember watch the Huerter team play in that summer league at HVCC a few summers ago. Kevin was obviously the better player but I thought Tom had some real skill and could play with his brother. I understand the situation in that TH hasn't played very much, throw in two or three other reasons like being afraid to make mistakes etc. etc., but I still think it's a little strange. Like HJ said, he doesn't even look to score or shoot from outside. I'm sure someone will blame this on JP but it is very noticeable. I'm sure Tom Sr. is talking to him about it or at like I would hope so.

Players cant be good if they are afraid and feel a need to look over their shoiulder if they make a bad play. Mike Deane also coached like that. Ask Tom sr about it! lol

Players cant be good if they are afraid and feel a need to look over their shoiulder if they make a bad play. Mike Deane also coached like that. Ask Tom sr about it! lol Deane did coach that way- but he had very clear roles and rules- Tom Huerter or Bruce Schroder could take 20 - 3 point shots a game, if they we good shots, they had to be square to hoop and in shooting position. If they were moving or not square to hoop he would remove them immediately. Monte Henderson could shoot if he looked down and saw paint- if he shot ball outside the paint- he too would be removed immediately One of my favorite Fran moments was a game Vs St Joe’s- it was a close game in 1st half and Clarence Jackson missed a few 3 pointers, he hung his head after missing second one and was slow getting back on defense, Fran pulled him immediately. When Clarence came over to bench Fran was wagging his finger at Clarence and yelling- I had Premium seats at time right behind Siena bench – so I could hear everything Fran was saying, the entire arena thought Fran was “chewing “ Clarence out—he wasn’t, far from it- he was screaming to Clarence that he was best shooter in “gym” and not to hang his head- told him he was going back in a few min to get ready Fran would run a play for him- sure enough Clarence goes back in, Fran runs a play for Clarence and he buries a 3 pointer- ended up hitting 3 more in the half opening up what was up to that point a close game
