1000 pts isn't such a huge deal, if you started your career from day 1 (as pretty much these 4 have). It is a great accomplishment for a player, but in the grand scheme of things, if you are averaging 8 pts a game for your career, you are just an average D1 player. Many have hit the nail on the head with these 4, no real alpha, no one kicking ass when needed on the court (to your own team). The big 4 we had years back, 3 of those 4 were as vocal and as effective leaders on the floor as you would ever want... RR same way, smart, called out stuff on court, hell even Downey had that fire and passion and led that team to some wins when none were expected. We keep waiting for this all to click, but it just isn't there. When all is right and shots are dropping, they are fine, look good and are a fun team to watch. As soon as things get sideways, there isn't anyone on this team that can grab them by the sack and get shit done.... to a man they have all been quoted at one time or another about needing that fire, that sense of urgency. Fella's, your college career is about 90% over, if not now, when? Its easy to talk about that fire and passion, it is another to stoke it and let it rise. if anything maybe next years team has a few guys who will at least run threw a few walls.

4 nice kids. Decent players. No real leaders. When your best players aren't leaders, that's tough. Let's hope we look for kids that aren't only good players, but have that leadership gene.

Let's go SAINTS!

I keep telling you guys, that kid is EF. May not be the most talented player, but he is the take charge guy.

I keep telling you guys, that kid is EF. May not be the most talented player, but he is the take charge guy. Fish checks in promptly gets scored on, bricks a three, is flatfooted in the paint the entire time he's in and fouls. Not the most talented is an understatement!

Downey was far from the most talented, but held his own pretty much every night. Fisher, i just am not sure it will ever come together for him. One particular play i had to laugh, he is under the basket on defense, I think daniels gets the ball near foul line, Fisher just immediately goes into hands up defense, which is fine, if they guys wasn't still 6 feet away from him. i mean you give up any ability to do anything when you play statue defense. I am sure it is to help alleviate some fouls he would normally get trying to man-up, but looked awful.

His motor just wasn't in synch with his brain - at one point he looked like his feet were glued to the floor as his upper body started to react to Daniels - I think he needs to work on keeping his feet in constant motion - perhaps watch Kevin Huerter (not making a comparison - just an example of active feet constantly and therefore always ready to accelerate).

Great kid, very vocal, great attitude, tremendous teammate and the kind of kid you want on your team. He tries really hard to be vocal when on the court but shouting out things (at center when in a 2-3 zone) like "I'm in the middle" isn't quite leadership. It is trying really hard to be vocal though. I'm not trying to be mean but he has to show more proficiency in his playing to set an example and be a leader.

I can be vocal during the game too. If that's all I need to do to play significant mins, where do I sign up?
"Zone, zone, zone!" "don't take that damn three!" "cover that guy in the corner!" "god damn it!"
See. I can do it too.
