you obviously never went to a practice- hell yeah Cam could shoot, you wouldn't want to play him in a game of Horse- getting his shot off vs D1 athletes was another thing.D2 is chock full of kids that can shoot but cant get shot off V D1 athletes. Why Do you think Evan Fisher hit 5 or 6 threes Vs a D2 team and 20 games in only has 5 three pointers on year. He could get his shot off Vs D2 kids, he struggles against D1 athletes unless he is wide open- being a good shooter is great, having the athleticism to get that shot off Vs D1 competition is another matter altogether. Lack of speed and athleticism is the question mark on Wojick. You can carry a lower athletic kid that can shoot, but you cant have a team full of below avg speed and athleticism Cam wouldn't beat Steven Cruz though, so your take on that is pointless....................a lot of it also has to do with the offense..........not every player has the ability to breakdown a defender off the dribble and get their own shot or create for others...........it is up to the coaching staff to get those that can shoot, those chances and/or open looks..........it isn't hard to understand..........but what we have is a staff that is incapable of doing that since they aren't typically freeing up players now for open looks!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes, when you post, I mistake it for morse code. Last week I called an ambulance because I thought you were signaling S.O.S.

GG4E D1 ball 🏀 requires a certain level of athleticism, you either have it or you don't. A lot kids can shoot the rock but they're just not athletic enough for D1 ball that's why Dll and Dlll exists. It has nothing to do with style of play. Tony's correct you can carry 1 or 2 of these kids on a roster but you can't have a team full and unfortunately that's all JP is recruiting. How much more do you need to see this year. We're severely lacking in athletic talent.

It is a huge problem that JP cannot get higher rated recruits, agree completely.......we also have to realize that it might not matter anyway, because he can't do much with the talent he has, have we seen any progress for the players individually? ? .........some have but others not so much, so once they arrive that is pretty much what you get or they regress........things won't be dramatically different with better talent unfortunately,..........we are better than we were when we had Mitch overall, but no where near what the expectations are!!!!!!!!!

I too agree that recruiting as of late appears to be down from the past (even Bob & Rod could recruit even though they couldn't coach).
I'd like to see Siena beating out A-10 &/or CAA type schools for recruits on a more regular basis with the occasional beating out a lower BCS type school for others.
However, if Siena/Coaches don't, it won't change my support/rooting.
Basically, I do agree with others (who might be considered more critical) but will never agree to the "or else" portion of their comments.

I think JP has adopted a recruiting system based on bring the kids in and we'll evaluate them here - if ok, they stay, if not we say they are looking for the NBA and cut the cord - no muss, no fuss - a redshirt here a redshirt there, a free ride here a free ride there - who cares it's not his money....and besides, we need 5 bodies to play JP "baseball" at practice....gotta admit the guy is creative if not productive

JP is getting many kids with no offers- kids that commit to Siena sight unseen.. Wonder how the big money donors feel about that- why spend 12 million on practice facility when Jimmy cant leverage it for recruits anyway
To Green and Gold-- yes the coach needs to put players in position to be successful- no argument from me. But you need a certain level of athleticism - the little video I saw of him plus the fact Wojick had no other offers leads me to believe he doesn't have the athleticism to play D1- that is the major question mark on him- as for Cam-- you were the one saying he couldn't shoot. Sorry you were way off mark on that( I mean not even close) . He could shoot lights out, just was not athletic enough to get his shot off Vs D1 competition or guard D1 quality guards. I suggest you go to a D3 RPI or Union game-- you'll find those kids typically shoot 20-25 from free throw line, many knock down shooters--in short those kids can play-- they are at D3 ( or D2) because maybe they are a little slower, smaller less athletic than their D1 counterparts
Circling this whole thing back to Wojick-- no question the kid can shoot- big question if he is quick enough to play guard at the D1 level.. Smacks of Jimmy paying a Loyola favor off to kids grandfather- who hired Jimmy at Loyola.

Isn't one of John's charges to make sure the coaches are improving the program(s)?

IMHO D'Arg, although a nice guy, is an "ass kisser".
I don't blame him, the priests that run or ruin Siena love the ass kisser.
Now their asses are being bitten!
