How about this fact -
Jimmy Patsos after 110 games at Loyola: 58-62 (this includes a 6 win season in year 1 after he inherited a one win team)
Jimmy Patsos after 110 games at Siena: 58-62

I want the team to win...I am happy that they won...but I can't get excited about beating a mediocre team. Sky, I understand and applaud your high expectations for our Saints. Still, I am very happy with the win last night and believe that it is a step in the right direction. League wins are not easy to come by. Examples: Siena's 07-08 team lost at Loyola 56-85 and lost to Rider at home 75-89 and lost to Fairfield at home 52-53 Siena's 08-09 team lost at Rider 88-90 and lost at Niagara 85-100 Siena's 09-10 team lost at Niagara 74-87 and those were very good teams - so any win is a good win, but a win Sunday would be a GREAT win - Go Saints!

Seriously! What drivel. 09 Siena lost 1 MAAC game. In 08 Siena lost 2 MAAC games and they were to the 2nd 3rd place finishers. In 07 2 of the losses were to the 1st and 3rd place teams. Different league different players different time!

After reading many of these comments I understand why metal detectors at the TUC are necessary.

As for this season, the MAAC is more balanced so far than I can ever remember. Siena at 3-3, all close games, could easily be 6-0 with a few different bounces of the ball. On the other hand, we could be 0-6 with a few different bounces of the ball. So, that makes Sunday so important- I'll be rooting for our Saints to break thru on the road!

No one makes it through a basketball season undefeated. Although Fran came damn close twice with 1 and 2 losses in the MAAC (when the MAAC was a much better conf) Comparing Frans teams with this team is like comparing oil and vinegar.
