Just got home from tonight's game. That first half was the best half of basketball I have seen from the Saints this season - this is what I was expecting every game - it was a GREAT 20 minutes. Brett and Lavon and Quis all working just as hard as they possibly can to turn this season around. Brett leading the way by example. JO very valuable contributions tonight as well. Lavon the man tonight - got critical boards - made defensive plays - and the best part was the ball movement on offense - the whole first half except for the few minutes when Nico was in, the movement slowed to a crawl.
Kadeemer - he is the energy guy that Nico was last season - not the scorer Nico was, but high energy on defense, solid foul shooter under pressure, and his handle is great - just solid guard contribution. Shivers big shots down the stretch.
At the half I was on my feet, applauding the Saints, looked around and very few fans standing and supporting the Saints. They deserved some kudos - GREAT first 20 minutes.
Tonight was just fun again. Go Saints!

The team won, lets beat up on the coach for not winning by more, and guys stupid mistakes. 2000 max attendance. Paid attendance? Not true - we didn't have a coach to beat up from the 9 minute mark in. When we take the air out of the ball, all of our balls go soft...

On the Nico front...I agree with many, something is wrong with this kid. I was watching the team pregame stretch and Nico is not out there. He comes jogging out and joins the team. The captains are facing the others and Quis says something to Nico guessing about why he was late. Nico just laughs and starts a dance routine during a stretch. Quis laughs, LL and Brett look at him with anger. It was very strange to watch.

This senior dominated team was lucky to win last night, they did everything to try to give the game to Q. Not all their fault, JP tries to go to the prevent , takes the air out of the ball and has the team playing to their weakness. Great coaching. Yeah Papi your coaching ability would be worse than JP.

I want the team to win...I am happy that they won...but I can't get excited about beating a mediocre team.

That first half was awesome display of the teams potential. Nice game to watch, glad the Saints got the win. Happy for the seniors; two players with double doubles and four with double digit point totals. Monster rebounds from Lavon Long late and fouls shots dropping when they counted. Kudos to Quinny for an effective press which slowed the game down and ate up that lead. Nice try but not enough, the team did not break and did what was needed to get the win. dailygazette.com/article/2017/01/13/seniors-lead-siena-to-win

Two in a row, but now we need to get a road win and start a sting of them as well. If the ship can be righted top tier is not out of reach. Given the MAAC this year 12 MAAC wins could do it. Ever the optimist.

As much as there was to like about the first half nice ball movement, better shot selection, rebounding less chaotic substitutions there was equally enough to dislike about the second half, scoring droughts, lapses in judgment, slow to adjust to press and taking the air out of the ball.
Team needs to string two halfs togther or roads wins are gonna be too few and far between.

I agree with bill, trying to reserve judgment until we see if performance improves on the road. I don't see how this team can win long term without nico, but we will see.

JP lets the kids run, let them shoot when they are open, they shoot well, have a good lead. He goes half court kids afraid to shoot, go gun shy, have to put up last second shots, lucky they win last night with his coaching. One might think he learn by experience since he keeps telling us he wants to run.
