I have been a long time supporter and season ticket holderived as well as a big supporter of Jimmy, but unfortunately, I think he has really lost this team and has to go, and has to go right now.
I know that will not happen, but I still believe in the players he has.
I just don't think the players believe in Jimmy.....at all.
There is no faith from the players. No trust.
To keep their jobs and roles as players, everyone around the program will say the right things publicly in support of Jimmy, but it is pretty evident that he has stolen their confidence away from them.
His control issues and lack of loyalty to certain players has caught up with him.
When this happens, and you think you have the talent that can still salvage a season, a program, and future success, whether it be right or wrong, the coach is the one who has to go, and for the better of the program, it has to happen now before the Western NY swing next week.
This is a huge, huge crossing roads for the program.
Even in their wins, the TU is dead. No atmosphere. No energy. Very old crowd.
That's on D'Argenio. He is way too content in his role as AD. He needs to be the first to go.
Nothing they do at the game encourages noise and energy. Nothing they do encourages non Siena alumni to come out abd support the program. There are few new younger fans.
The program is dieing a very slow death right in front of our eyes.
Soon enough, unless they get a new AD with some new ideas and a new coach who instills confidence in his players, Siena won't even be relevant in it's own backyard anymore, and that seems to be the only place they have some signs of relevancy these days.
You have the talent coach. You have the experience. Put the ball in Marquis''s hands as your point guard, and let him play. Trust him. He is still your guy. Our guy. Get out of their way and just let them run. They are a terrible half court team, especially when guys like Bis bing are giving up wide open jumpers because their confidence is gone.
Stick to three guys off the bench in Richards, Friday, and Shivers. That's it.
No more revolving door.
And then just get out of their way and let them play coach. Trust them and good things will start to happen.
