Sure - no problem: The article, IMO, points out the one common and glaring shortfall of our head coach - his apparent dismissal of the value of detailed scouting, analysis and game planning. Our kids can shoot - there is no denying that but our offenses (and I'm sure we have one more than the ubiquitous "2") don't appear to be designed to put our players in the best position to execute what they each do best. The scout and subsequent analysis should uncover both the strengths and weaknesses of our opponent and the staff should then work to impede the strengths and exploit the weaknesses. We don't seem to do that, PERIOD! We make no in game adjustments (especially coming out of halftime), instead we just keep running the same old same old and hope that a) someone gets open and b) recognizes it and c) takes a shot and d) someone just might be positioned by pure luck to rebound a miss. If it isn't working, rotate players in and out until god only knows what! Moving players from position to position just amplifies our inconsistencies - the "LL at the point" gimmick might work for one or two games with an OOC opponent but it's got a snowball's chance in hell against our MAAC foes who all know us like the open and very short book we Great analysis MP, thanks, accurate in the view of the failing of our coach and staff. MW starting at the point, hopefully true. Since his return from the injury neither him or the team have been playing that well with regularity. MW is a point guard not a 2 guard. Hopefully the kids dismiss the atrocious coaching and just go out and play. At this point the team would be better off coaching themselves. Hopefully everyone had joyous holiday.

Misspractice has accurately diagnosed malpractice by the coaches.

Misspractice posts have little to do helping the program! And more about his arrogance and ego! If Siena got the best head coach available- he would still find something to bitch about! 🙄🙄

Go drink some more Kool Aid. I'm sure you had to sit at the kids table Sunday. MP is a long time poster and friend of Siena.

I am feeling this game is going to be a dog fight (or dog/cat fight). Vermont won their two winnable road games (Quinnipiac and Marist) and they beat Hofstra convincingly on a neutral floor. Henson being out obviously hurts them, but they can beat you with balanced scoring and have Drew Urquhart that can score (double digits against Eastern Michigan and Butler), rebound and can stay out of foul trouble. My fear is that their defense, especially off the bench, is going to give the Saints fits. I think this is the type of game where in game adjustment is critical and frankly I haven't seen enough of it consistently to have confidence that we will see that. A huge boost is being home for thsi one. If this was being played in Vermont I would be more pessimistic, but having this game at home is a big help. Another plus is that this is a good road test for Vermont. Although they played some tough road games, I would consider this only their third winnable road game of the season. As frustrated as I am with the team performance and the record I don't think there is an atrocious road loss although many of the games were "toss ups" or winnable and they didn't get the job done. A team with this type of talent (we've seen flashes of it over the last few years) should not be losing all the toss-up road games. Vermont just seems to be the more capable team at this point. I hope the fire is burning in them after the Hofstra loss. I am guessing that Vermont pulls this out by 2 or 3... something like 79-76. I want to be way wrong about this, but the way thing are going with the Saints right now I don't see them being able to take control of this game.

Reread them a little slower and with a little less bias and see if some of it makes sense to you..

If he/they are doing a good job in your eyes, share with us the strong points that you see and defend. Easy to attack those that are critical but not so easy to actually voice your own views. OBTW, when your buddy, the silent stalker, likes or dislikes a posting, her screenname shows - funny!

Let's try to look at this with some level of objectivity:
*We're 4-8. *veteran, senior-heavy team that includes 4 career 1,000 point scorers *Coach is in his 4th year, certainly enough time to make his imprint on the program. *All games so far this season seen as "winnable", with the exception of at Kansas. *12 games into the season, Coach is still experimenting with starting lineup--INCLUDING WHO OUR POINT GUARD IS!! *Lack of team unity obvious to both fans and media. *Team chemistry and individual contributions seen as regressing. *Bench--the cornerstone of next season--is contributing almost nothing. *Marquee rivalry game an embarassment for Siena.
What's to like?

Let me be clear-this Siena team ( including coaching) needs improvement across the board.Especially with regards to self displine and chemistry. However, going after the program or Jimmy at EVERY opportunity does nothing to help the program! LET'S GO SIENA! LET'S GO JIMMY! LET'S GET A WIN!

Well if Nico is starting, I think we can assume Wright will play the point. That's their best starting 5. Vermonts best player didnt play against Butler either and they played pretty well. Think they lost by 12. I wasn't at the practice yesterday that Mark mentions, so I can't speak to who could be considered starters or not, but typically there are seven or eight guys wearing gold jerseys at any one time, and everybody switches back and forth between gold and green on a regular basis. I was at practice today. Only person not participating was Brett, who I understand had a physical therapy appointment. Lots of spirit, energy and physical play. Didn't look like a 4-8 team at all. Was told that the team has had three really strong practices since coming back from Christmas break. Hopefully it will carry over to the game Thursday night.

I suggested watching the Iona away game last year as a group so they could see how a great TEAM plays the game.
