Team wins the MAAC, they're will be a fistfight for space in order to jump back on the wagon. I think this is the event that we've all really been waiting for: An official Siena fanbase battle royale. The winner gets dinner with Ryan Oliver: The future president of the Universe. You all don't stand a chance. Cage match at the TUC the day before the tournament starts. Saw UFC there last week - that shit is crazy. You get them down on the ground, you got to get them to call uncle. Otherwise it's fair game to break their arm right there. Could you imagine some here mixing it up like that? The entire MAAC board would pay $500 for that. (oooh - some may go for that just to come up with JP's buyout.)

I think it's odd that you just can't seem to acknowledge that a lot of folks that love the team, love the school, want them to succeed on and off the floor can also not like the HC - with you it seems to be an all or nothing love/hate relationship and many of us are not in that category. I didn't like him when he was at Loyola and he's done nothing here to change that view but I go to the games and want the kids to win - saying some want losses is beyond absurd - makes no sense on any level. As odd as you standing by Mitch for 2 1/2 years when everyone else wanted to hang him? Let's be real, winning games helps your enemy. Losing games hurts your enemy, and get him where you want him. Fired. So you tell me deep down what you really want each game? You reluctantly take wins, and load up the gun after losses. It's the perfect position to be in. Maybe that's how you think (actually has to be, it's your post) but that's not how I think or act. I was wrong about Mitch and it took two years for me to see it - must be nice to never make a mistake...

We were the last two standing in his defense. I did it because he was OUR coach and I try to stand by that fact as long as possible Plus, I truly liked the guy.

I think a lot of the concern with Jimmy is he has a senior dominated team. We are 4-7. He's 56-58 at Siena a third of the way into his fourth year and you look at what is on the horizon. How could anyone be confident in the long-term (and short-term) progress of the program? Making the same mistakes - give 'ships to friends kids. Same BS lines. It gets tiring after a while. You're right he is MY coach and I want him to succeed just like I wanted Mitch to succeed. But there are a lot of concerns. Although it is not all of his doing this is the seventh year since the last MAAC championship teams. All we have had since then are a couple of 20 win seasons and a CBI title and one third place finish. That's hard to accept for a program that has had so much success and tradition as a proud mid-major.

I don't disagree with any of that, but do you think it's appropriate to be calling for his job 11 games into the season, esp when you do not know what the buyout is? 2 months ago, you had enough confidence in the team and his ability to pick them 2nd and as many as 22-23 wins. 1-1 in the league now (and a win vs a team that has beaten 2 in our league, plus Richmond & Vanderbilt) I'll ask again - will you still call for his job if he comes in 2nd and/or wins the tournament?

I'm not confident we can do that but I certainly hope we do. If Siena does it he'll certainly be back and deservedly so. As far as my predictions go I reserve the right to change my opinions based on what I see with my own eyes. I hope my original expectations/predictions come to pass. Also I'm not just thinking about this year. I shutter to think about next year. Assuming Nico is back - what else do we have? Some step-back is expected after graduating four starters but the lack of recruiting will kill us. I like the kid Richard and he buries him on the bench. It's Nico and pray for rain in 2017-18.

I just want a 6-5 kid with 40 inch vertical who can know down jumpers all day Sorry he's already at Duke, Kentucky, NC or Michigan.

Then I suggest you lay off for now and see what happens in league play and the tournament. Nothing will happen now. Criticize valid issues but drop the 'Dump Patsos' line for now. It does nobody any good - least of all the team.

Agreed- maybe we can wait until we play our remaining 16 MAAC games before we decide whether JP can get it done. I also liked Mitch as a person and gave him the benefit of the doubt as a coach for a few years- it was't until after the first two year end banquets and I witnessed the disconnect between players and MB that I realized that it wasn't going to work. JP needs to improve as does each of the seniors and Nico if we are going to get this done. Team chemistry and a true leader of the team has ye)t to emerge- I hope this changes as the season progresses. If it doesn't, the result will be unacceptable and changes may/will need to come. Let's give it a bit more time before we jump off the ship. The team needs our support.

Just got back from the game. I didn't realize how many crazy Siena fans were out there, gutting out the snow and ice to make the trip North. I hope some of you on board were there in person to to enjoy the win. Bring on Hofstra, GO SAINTS!

Road trip in the snow with Davidson's, I mean GFCC, as destination- how could you not make the attempt. A great day particularly with a W at the end of it.
