lol, could win every game the rest of the year, and it wouldn't matter. the board has spoken. For the record- it's much more than this board, a vast majority of Siena fans have given up on coach- he is going to have change his spots to earn them back With suspect moves like the recent scholarship to Jake W, he isn't winning many back. That's an offer that was gonna be open whenever we wanted to make it, it's obvious it was a favor being made and using College funds to do so ... to me his job is to bring in the best possible players he can to make sure this program is relevant and as strong as can be and NOT to provide favors using someone else's dime. To me that is an example of not conducting business in the best interest of the college. Here that D'Arg! I really hope Brother Ed starts to clean this mess up. Didn't he learn anything from the Cam debacle.

This team could still have some potential. Bucknell is a good team and most of the game Siena was clearly the better team. The problem is I just don't know if the coaching and basketball IQ on this team is enough. We play hard but don't always play smart. Bottom line is this team has four 1,000 point scorers and a fifth player to get there mid way through his junior year. No excuses this team should finish in the top 3 or 4 and be a threat to win the tournament in March. If the coach can't do it with talent and experience like this he'll never get it done! Then find some balance. You had high expectations 3 months ago. Jimmy didn't all of a sudden become a horrible coach, did he? And he recruited 3 of those guys, plus Nico and somehow was not that horrible to make JO want to come back. Just look for the balance. Is he frustrating and baffling at times to me? Sure. But what's the point of calling for his head 10 games into the season when he has several years on his contract. I certainly can't afford to donate to pay off the rest of his contract.

Yes. This is baffling to me. I noticed the same issue almost immediately last year with Silas, felt bad for Silas, Rex screwed him over big time. And this is why you sometimes can't fault the players. They don't put themselves on the floor. But when they do, it's their responsibility to step into the role giving 110%.

Nope but there's been red-flags from day 1 and it has gotten point you just know it likely won't end well. And like I said years on contract mean nothing...all about buyout.

Lavon played great today. Maybe giving him some time at the point will break up the monotony and reinvigorate him.

Well, then again, with all those red flags you claim, why were you all over at least a second place finish and maybe 23 wins about 2 months ago? Were you blind to them and strictly hopeful? Why not call out those red flags then and say second place would not have been possible because of them? Would you continue to call for his head if he still gets that second place finish which is still very mathematically possible? Or wins the tournament? As far as the buy out goes...what is it?

Team wins the MAAC, they're will be a fistfight for space in order to jump back on the wagon. I'm not sure where the team is going, but I'm sticking by them. Todays win, on a neutral floor, against a very good team is a start. Transfers, coaching changes, etc. can be discussed in April. Way too much negativity from the "fanbase." And yes, I'm pissed at some of the moves recently too. I just want to see this very talented group of players get back on track. I'm a believer they can.

That way when they pull one off like they did today I can be happy.😀

I think it's odd that you just can't seem to acknowledge that a lot of folks that love the team, love the school, want them to succeed on and off the floor can also not like the HC - with you it seems to be an all or nothing love/hate relationship and many of us are not in that category. I didn't like him when he was at Loyola and he's done nothing here to change that view but I go to the games and want the kids to win - saying some want losses is beyond absurd - makes no sense on any level.

I'll be honest I didn't read any of this thread. Just wanted to post that it wasn't the dominating win I wanted, but was the win over a decent team that we needed.
Congrats on JO getting to 1,000 points (only D1 team with four 1,000 point scorers, no other team has three).
Referees imposed their will a bit too much on this game on both ends of the floor but was happy to see the Green and Gold prevail.

Team wins the MAAC, they're will be a fistfight for space in order to jump back on the wagon. I think this is the event that we've all really been waiting for: An official Siena fanbase battle royale. The winner gets dinner with Ryan Oliver: The future president of the Universe. You all don't stand a chance.

Some KenPom facts:
4 Siena wins: Cornell (255) Bucknell (132) Fairfield (178) Ark. Pine-Bluff (344)
7 Siena losses: Kansas (4) SBU (69) FGCU (95) GW (120) Asheville (126) Albany (173) Rider (189)
So Siena is 2-7 vs. KenPom top 190... 2-0 against everyone else
Rider/UA losses were killers if we're 6-5, 2-0 right now I'd be a little happier.

As odd as you standing by Mitch for 2 1/2 years when everyone else wanted to hang him? Let's be real, winning games helps your enemy. Losing games hurts your enemy, and get him where you want him. Fired. So you tell me deep down what you really want each game? You reluctantly take wins, and load up the gun after losses. It's the perfect position to be in.
