Let me be clear- Players not listening to leadership or veterans on a team has happened on previous Siena teams. I know for a fact it happened with teams under Mitch. And perhaps it's happening under Jimmy! It's not a reflection on Ryan, other team leaders or even coaches. But a reflection on this generation of players! And it's becoming more prevalent every year on college teams! Its the coach. You set a tone for your program. College basketball is all about the coach. Siena has a mediocre coach. They have a mediocre program.

With our current coach where do you see the program next year...three years from now...5 years from now...look at the recruiting...the game preparation...the in game adjustments...the off the court antics...team chemistry...I think that for now we have to accept that .500 is the best we are going to get...can anyone give me any reason to think otherwise.

Which is why my I cancelled my season tickets of 18 seasons two years running. Businesses will provide the least quality product for the most money so long as customers are willing to pay. In this case, they feed on fandom. They rely on fanatical support to eat up whatever mediocre product they throw on the floor.

I was at the UA game last night (seats right behind the UA bench). Nichols was having a terrible game and was forcing the issue, trying to score, time after time. Brown had finally seen enough, yanked Nichols out of the game and screamed at him saying "This isn't all about you" along with some other expletives. Brown, after a couple of minutes, went over, talked to Nichols and put him back in the game. Pastos could learn from this but HE WON'T!!!!!!!

I sit behind the bench at the TUC . Jimmy's bench behavior is much calmer than in the past. Haters will not acknowledge that fact.

As one I am sure you would classify aa a "hater", let me burst your bubble - yes he is calmer than in the past - likely due to age, weight and the effect of discussions with an AD most of you love to hate......

Is there anyway we can get away from the word "hater". It was introduced to this board by PPC whom I believe had a lot of hate in her. There are some on this board that think Jimmy was a bad hire...there are some players that probably should not have been recruited....but I don't believe any of us HATE the coach or any player. The posters on this board usually display above average intelligence so can we find a more honest descriptive word than "hater"

No one really hates anyone involved with the program, dislike frustrated with...yes. Far as coach and players, JP lost my respect and backing after the UA debacle. As to his position, can't blame the guy for taking the pay day even if he is not qualified. Falls back again to the admin and those making the decisions.. Players are a direct reflection of the coach. A good leader, the coach will have them ready to play and pumped. Candidly I really don't see anyone player on the team who cannot cut it in the MAAC, at some level. The management has no developmental skill, game skills, and to some pundits posts recruiting skills. But to argue the point still a believer there are those who make it difficult for a Siena coach to recruit through admissions.

That's your bar huh, 20 games? 20 games was impressive when they played 25 or so games. 21-13 is fair. At least it didn't take 40 games to do it like before. It's better than Mitch ball but when this is the pinnacle... That's some lowered expectations

That's some lowered expectations I really don't think he was trying to say that 20 wins is the apex desired for the program. I think most of us would look at a 20 win season as starting to exhibit some degree of success in the program. Would anyone really want to put a ceiling on success ? I think not.
