Wouldn't shock me to see Merrill get some spot minutes inside with both WB and SF unavailable. Kid is 6'9", active and does things right. His teammates have a lot of respect for him. Every hand on deck to right the ship!

TH is something that some of the other players are not yet doing. He is basketball smart, plays within himself, knows the game. He was taught well perhaps Sr. Could teach the x and o to the remainder of team, not that they don't know them just it seems do not wish to employ.

Shivers is going to play a lot of mins this year. I think the Bonnies game was just the beginning. So far he looks like all things that Maurice White was supposed to be but wasn't. If Lavon has to play mostly at the 4, Shivers could get a lot of glue guy SF minutes. Either him or Smithen. I may have missed it on the board but was there a reason why Smithen didn't play much vs St Bonaventure?

Look said this a few times already, So-So Jimbo needs to find a rotation and stick with it ... play 7-8 kids tops. He subs like maniac CYO coach trying to find combos that work. All he's really doing is dicking around with the teams chemistry. We have a solid core of 5 guys (some of the better players in the MAAC) who never seem to be on the floor together at the same time for very long, no wonder they look like they have issues playing together. So-So Jimbos his own worse enemy.
Playing Merrill Fisher Tommy (at this juncture) isn't gonna accomplish anything and is not the answer to our problems. Times-a-tickin' Jimbo.....

I think that he needs to find his top 8 and let them play through mistakes, get into a game flow and build some chemistry as well as how oneindian feels

What do hugs and kisses have to do with basketball? not a damn thing, Huerter knows BB. Why did UA beat Siena, not because they had better athletes, but better BB players with a plan whom were coached. A good BB team will beat the law of averages and beat an athletic uncoached team.

I will say what I typically say about injuries (said it for Shady McCoy earlier this year). If they are 'iffy' health-wise and rest will help, then sit him. It doesn't help the team if a frosh is not at 100% and it only hurts his chances of re-injuring or not healing fully for later games.

Very seldom do you get much out of that player when they aren't fully comfortable with their body. They're not the player and this is too high of competition to throw out an iffy player that hasn't been practicing. It seldom works out for the team.

from little I have seen, but have taken in accolades others have said of him, that have seen him frequently needs to heal and not be pushed back to fast, seems like a great kid.

And hoping to see that foul trouble is not a big issue.
