Any A10 game on the road especially against a team that won 28 games and the NIT championship plus was ranked several weeks last year is a challenge. I know GW has had some issues but this will be a tough game. If Siena comes to play and we get solid play from the bench we certainly can win this game. Need to come out strong and jump out to an early lead. JO and Brett have to hold their own inside...hopefully 'Quis and Nico are the difference in the backcourt. Pretty sure the consensus is they aren't as good that's why they are a preseason 8th pick in the A10. This isn't the 2016 team, this is a game I would expect to win if we want to be thought of as a better / stronger mid major program

This isn't the 2016 team, this is a game I would expect to win if we want to be thought of as a better / stronger mid major program Right...5 of their top 7 scorers (also 5 of top 7 minutes played) from last year's team are not on this roster. Sure they now have Sina and a capable fill-in Harvard big Grad Senior, but this is not the same team. It's a team that reminds me of Siena's roster in Mitch's 1st season - new coach with a monster centerpiece (Tyler = RyRo) and a slew of question marks surrounding it. Past performance does not guarantee future results. With that said - I still expect this to be a close game - but this is a game that Siena needs to just put away if they want to achieve their greater expectations. If we were playing this team in mid-December when they've had some time to gel, it could turn out to be a more difficult challenge, but I expect Siena to take care of business.

I'm looking forward to this game a great deal. GW is still trying to find itself but has A10 athletes up and down it's roster. They have the best individual player on the court in addition to a point guard that made the BE all rookie team a couple of years ago.
Siena can win this but if they do, it will still be considered an upset.

I know it isn't like playing Penn State but this is a good early season test of how good we are and can be. Disagree GW not a good team this year, and with all the off court stuff that happened not the best environment there right now. Very inexperienced Coaching, Talent in the backcourt is not close to most A10 level teams. IMO Siena should win this game. Comparing Brett to Tyler IMO is not as close as you guys think. Tyler is really good. He's just better player to me and I don't think it's close. I agree on Tyler being the best player on the floor and better than Brett, but I'm sticking with Marqis > Sina too. I expect Tyler and Watanabe to get theirs, I just dont want a 3rd guy to have a career night. This is a good time to catch them, as the program is still reeling from the off the court coaching mess. We need to play well to win, so I'd be more surprised if we lost since I think we have the better team. ps--THIS is the game where Lavons absence could be the difference in winning and losing.

I'm Wright fan always have been you don't have to sell me on him. Sina still trying to find his role with GW so I do see Wright getting the better of that match up. I just think right now GW has no identity and experienced team like Siena that hurts. I'm going with Siena in this game. I'll be there tonight . Too bad Lavon not playing.

I remember when Cavanaugh was transferring someone got me with an April fools saying he was coming back and we had a second chance with him.
I still think about that....what it would have been like to have both Bisping and Cavanaugh together.
As it has turned out though, JO might be the better compliment because he adds things they don't have.

It will be a game that shows how far our team and program have come. I think we have the talent to compete successfully with GW, but in past years under Jimmy we haven't won step-up games, especially early in the season.
GO SAINTS!!

There appears to be more Siena fans at the game than gw fans. Surprised how small the crowd is
