A TU plus story please google mark+singelais+siena+turnovers
Saints aren't going down to say 10 turnovers a game- but if they can get it down to say 13 even 14 a game, they will be very difficult to beat. Just stop a few of those "dumb" turnovers a game and Saints will be cutting down nets next March

We averaged 16 last year if we can get the number to 12 we'll score well into the 80's and should win a ton of games and have a strong shot to win the MAAC championship. The unforced errors are the killers. Jimmy is right when he says playing faster will lead to more turnovers but the stupid ones have to be eliminated if Siena is going to truly be an outstanding team. And we need to continue to shoot the ball well.

What I said on MAAC board again in response to the effect of cutting from 16 to 10 turnovers: We scored 78 ppg last year and had 16 turnovers. Our Points per Shot was 1.33.
So...with 6 more shots taken ...that's 1.33 times 6 = 8 more PPG.
That's 86 PPG.
Also, you take points away from the opposition so the scoring margin goes crazy in our favor.
This upside potential is the #1 reason why I have Siena 1st. If they maintain what they do and you take even just 3 turnovers off Siena's total.. you could swing Siena's point differential by 6 to 8 points....if everyone else didn't improve.
Siena's MAAC only point differential was already +7.8 compared to FF's -0.8 or say SPU's +1.3. Monmouth's was +9.5...so this additional pts from the TO situation combined with the loss of Deon Jones could allow Siena to leapfrog MU.

These are the things I think about.

Same group of players same tempo, I wouldn't expect much change in the turnover category. 20 turnovers in the exhibition game reflects that. Can they overcome the turnovers with other strong points to win games.

Can they overcome the turnovers with other strong points to win games. It's an almost entirely different group of ballhandlers when you consider that Wright missed much of the year.
