The only problem I see with formula is that if you have a team in the preseason rankings that is ranked 11th, and becomes like a 3rd or 4th team in the conference. Then in essence, the top teams miss playing that team twice to help with RPI. Vice-versa is true too. What if a team that is ranked one becomes a dud? Other notes... Ensor is around until June 2020. MAAC schools will need to have ESPN production school facilities by 2019/2020. Siena does not have these facilities according to the news release. blog.timesunion.com/collegesports/maac-goes-to-18-game-basketball-schedule/22227/

This is fantastic!!! I have been calling for a similar proposal for years now. It is put up or shut up time for some of our members.

It should help as now members can't load up on guarantee games. More attention is going to be required to build the schedule which is essential when trying to build a conference.

Let's schedule Iowa & Syracuse at home with the 2 open games.

Let's hope Siena never stinks again. In case buying season tickets for a projected 11th place team isn't bad enough, now you won't even get to see the top team in the league come to town.

If you are a projected last place team you won't want to see the top team come to town. These plans should have been implemented ten years ago if they wanted to be a top tier mid major conference. I just hope they stick with it as it will take awhile to see results.
