Emporia State Analysis:
Obviously, Kansas won.
Kansas' Guards really stand out to me. Mason III and Graham are a deadly combo and can handle the basketball very well. Jackson, the super freshman guard, is extremely fast.
The x factor will be Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk. Mykhailiuk can get hot from the outside very quickly.
The bigs might be an area of weakness. Bragg fouled out in the game. Did not see much of Lucas. Udoka Azubuike, the 7 foot freshman, can block, but showed no range in this game- need to be under the basket to score. Very fast.
Rebounding was better overall by Kansas in the game. The free throw shooting was not great- missed ten attempts.
I'll try to add some analysis after the Indiana game.

www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/matchup/_/gameId/400915117Kansas lost a close one. Interesting game. Kansas did get out rebounded in the contest and did not shoot well from the 3 pt line (30%). Bragg Jr fouled out early- four starters did foul out (game did go to OT). Mason III is a beast- very fast and aggressive. Bench was somewhat quiet in this one- their front line is very good and if their bench starts showing up, watch out. Next game: Tuesday 9:30 pm, vs. Duke, at MSG, ESPN.

sports.yahoo.com/news/james-blackmons-return-spearheads-indianas-upset-of-kansas-064438121.html"One of the few disappointing aspects to the game for either side was the debut of heralded Kansas freshman Josh Jackson, who scored nine points on 3-for-11 shooting and still appeared to be trying to figure out how best to score effectively. It was also worrisome for the Jayhawks that Bill Self repeatedly went to four-guard looks and did not appear to trust freshman big men Mitch Lightfoot or Udoka Azubuike yet."

Great, they'll be more motivated to beat us like Wisconsin did last year after losing the game before Siena game.

Kansas beat the number one team last night, 77-75. The difference? Josh Jackson (freshman forward) attacked the rim more instead of jump shots. He did foul out. Bragg, Lucas, and Azubuike did not foul out. Azubuike and Lucas need to be close to the rim in order to score. Bragg can be a capable scorer- can shoot perimeter shots. Mason III was excellent again, and Graham put up a solid effort. Mykhailuk did not have a big stat night, but did pass the ball well. He can shoot the three. Vick, a sophomore, added 9 points last night. Shot 12% from 3, and 47% from the foul line. Did outrebound Duke as a team. Almost even turnover to assist ratio. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore?gameId=400915236
