I'm still pissed off at them for squandering their NIT bid last year. I was hoping that if they didn't win the NIT to at least make to to MSG. This season, I'm hoping Monmouth goes far in the NIT.

In their defense the GW team they lost to went on to win the NIT and won their games at MSG by 19 and 16 points.

I agree GW was real good, but prior to them playing and losing; I was really hoping they'd make noise in the NIT. They could have. Now that I'm hoping Siena gets the NCAA bid, I'm really hoping Monmouth goes far in this seasons NIT.

If I recall last year's board correctly Monmouth has the advantage of a few players who wouldn't be able to be admitted to some other MAAC schools.

If I recall last year's board correctly Monmouth has the advantage of a few players who wouldn't be able to be admitted to some other MAAC schools. Seaborn was a non-qualifier. He never would have been admitted to Siena. By contrast, Siena rejected the otherwise fully qualified Jonathan Joseph because admissions wouldn't take some of his credits from bullshit classes at his juco - which is why they rarely allow jucos. So there are different admissions standards at play here. But it is what it is. I find it refreshing in the current state of the game to see that some schools still stick by their guns academically even if there's a competitive disadvantage as a result.
