Solid all the way around. As an aside I'd like to keep UVM for now, they are a solid program. Why drop them, because Jimmy can't win vs Becker? Yes We need to get better. Period. Let's just hope our slingshot is tuned up for that gunfight by the fall.

Forgot to mention that we are moving away from four year deals, apparently because of the new scheduling requirements, where there is a minimum ranking of average 3 year or 5 year wining percentage which affects the scheduling options of the top seven MAAC teams. Therefore both Holy Cross and Lehigh are two year deals. Not sure about Charleston - probably depends on when it was scheduled.
MAAC is also limiting the number of guarantee games its members can play.
No trip to California this year, despite prior talk. Also, last home game is likely to be other than UMass, in light of the overall quality of the schedule..

If anything, the rule should be that the bottom MAAC teams should play a lot of guarantee games. If you're gonna lose big....you might as well get paid and have it not hurt the conference.

You can play more than two guarantee games outside of exempt events, but you have to use the proceeds of additional guarantee game to buy home games.

The rpi does not go up when guarantee games are continually lost. To win the rpi game you have to win games against the toughest teams possible. Always going on the road and losing to top 25 teams is a recipe for an rpi in the 20s. I am happy with the direction of the conference when it comes to scheduling. Now they have to stick with it, and if they do this league could become a perennial top 12 league.

My point is...if the last place maac team loses to Kentucky, it doesn't hurt as much as losing to Longwood at home.

And my point is if we stop collectively losing away games to Kentucky we eventually won't be losing home games to long wood. If the group commits to this plan it will pay huge dividends down the road... it's how the better mid majors became .... better. Replace Kentucky with Kent state. Duke with drake., etc. I don't always agree with the maac but this new policy I'm 100% on board with.

What odds will someone give me on the Memphis game money line? Zero takers? Memphis brings back only 2 players who played more than 15 games this season. We actually have a chance to beat them.
