Yet he shoots the 3 at an excellent 43%
In this 12 game sample he only avg's 2 foul shots a game so my guess is he isn't going to the rack a ton. His FG % could be better, my guess is he needs to work on shot selection and his midrange game.
A kid who can shoot it at 43% from 3 must have a pretty good stroke my guess is he can shoot it better mid range.
Again all conjecture based on a few numbers

There are scorers and then there are players who can score. There are impact defenders and then there are players who can defend. There are shooters and then there are players that can shoot. There are attackers and then there are players who can attack. Wormley defers by nature, is a good defender but not an impact defender, can score but is not a scorer, can attack but isn't an attacker, and can shoot but isn't a shooter. This kid seems of the Wormley mold on first glance. The stats you posted (38%FG and 54%FT) were his shooting percentages from when, his junior year of HS? UAA stats against High major nationally rated guards such as Trevon Duvall, Jevonte Smart, Isaiah Washington, and list goes on and on. UAA guards are high level guards. Hammond held his own. I think being a better defender is the next step for him.
