Rebuilding years are over ... Patsos should now be judged by this upcoming season & forward ... With regards to OOC games I think it is a lot tougher these days to get higher rated competition to play us (or other teams of our caliber) @home ... I'm not happy about it but that is the new world order I don't buy that it's harder to get par teams in your OCC schedule, not for a minute. That's a load of BS. Sure youre not getting BCS teams at home, but you can and do get road games. See Monmouth. Hell we got KA Duke and Wisconsin on the road no problem there, just bring in good / better mids to the TU. This years home schedule is embarrassing.

To paraphrase the late, great linguist Yogi... "If people don't want to come to your arena, how ya gonna stop 'em?"

Anyone have a definitive answer on how many scholarships are available for this year and next? As of now, there's 4 for next year, with the option of using one (Josephs)this year, or at midseason. OR he could give it to Degnan this year. If nothing shakes out in the next few months, and Degnan does get one this year, we'd still have 4 next year. And Cam Gottfried will be attending NC State (for free) next year. No idea if he'll be playing basketball.

Patsos is 52-41 in 3 seasons at Siena and will win over 20 games this year, can't compare the job he has done to what Mitch did.

It seems the definition is unless you win multiple championships you have run the program into the ground. If Siena wins 20 + games next year ( that would be 3 out of 4 20 win seasons) and does not win the championship some will be calling for the head of the coach. Fair, no but that is the state of affairs at Siena.

And I'm not selling . . . away games or tourneys have never been the problem . . . it is getting teams to your home court that is the issue . . . you must think Siena is purposely scheduling patsies at home to pad their record . . . Siena is well aware that better teams @home increases attendance (and potentially season ticket base) which in turn increases revenue

Now it is time to cut the nets down with a senior laden team. I have questions about him but kind of surprised some of the anger. The last two years we've had brutal injuries (Bisping and Wright). The team fell apart two years ago last year the team excelled despite Wright getting hurt. I do think that losing four out of the last six games left a bad taste in fan's mouths especially when it looked like we had a legitimate chance to win the MAAC tournament last year. We all know Jimmy is not Mitch... but that correctly shouldn't be good enough. We all want him to win like Deane, Hewitt and McCaffery - win titles and contend every year and make some national noise. He can do it with some smart adjustments it's just taking a little longer then we'd all like.

C'mon! Whoever is scheduling ain't working at it hard enough. Coach supposedly has more connections than the power company and we get Ark Pine! LOL!

UMass ever play here recently?? I know we went out there two years ago. We had a deal with Harvard didn't we!? Bonnie's went to the NCAAs year we signed a 4 year deal I think? GW should be in the works too, but sure Lonergran is waiting for senior class to graduate. Betting we can get more quality games in 17-18 because opponents know we lost a lot.

Lets be clear here-- Jimmy makes the schedule- he plays a few tough games and schedules the rest vs AE-PL-Ivy-- games he should win. He is a career 500 coach ( both at Siena and overall) he doesn't stink, no comparison at all to Mitch. Next two years will tell us a lot about Jimmy's future at Siena. Jimmy has made some tough moves this off season- hoping it pays off over next few years.

I have concerns about JP too, but picture the Fran teams sans Ronald for 10 games (or whatever it was)...same for Deane teams without Biz/Doremus. The fact that we had a decent record is stunning. You can credit JPs coaching or you can credit Wormley (recruited by JP). I credit both. Either way it is nothing that should be brushed off.
