Official visit comes to a close. Heading back to Canada right now. He'd be a STUD in the MAAC. Love his game. Great scorer. Would start as a freshman for sure. Lets hope we can beat out the A-10 bottom feeders for his services. We have some good inside connections with the kid that makes me think we have a real good shot too.

That would be fresh if Prince committed. Loudonville is the Bel Air of Albany

I thought I read his family is in Ontario, closer to Toronto. So, I would also think the proximity to his home and the close games at Canisius and Niagara would also be a plus to allow them to see him easily a few times/year.

Why wouldn't he commit to Canisius or Niagara? Just kidding :-)

Your thread line kinda implied that he'd commited. Okay, but you did read the post right?? After you do that, there's no question he's just on his first visit. We'd obviously love him to commit in July, but he may take a few more visits.

He plays his HS basketball in Pittsburgh I heard. Main comp right now is Bonnies, Duquesne and Dayton, who have all offered.

I would think the longer we go without a commitment the worse our chances get. Looking at Jimmy's recruiting he landed four guys before they took an official visit (Nico, Larose, Brandwijk, and Paige). He got both Friday and Richard to commit within a couple days. Wormley was within a couple weeks. So only Evan Fisher has taken longer than that and he signed the next month. Seems like all the guys that have visited and not committed quickly have wound up going elsewhere.

Most kids want to take multiple visits to compare opportunities, particularly players who get offers from some competitive or higher level programs. If you want to pursue those kids with competitive offers you have to expect to wait and lose out some of the time, but you also have to land some of those type of players. Siena has done that with Long, Brandwjck, and others. If you want better players you have to go against other competitive programs to get them. It goes with the territory. The next four are important gets.
