Most of us here wanted a top 4 MAAC team, 20 wins regular season and be a definite threat to win MAAC tournament. I would say mission accomplished. Jimmy has improved as coach. Brett is a monster on boards and probable 1st team ALL MAAC player. JO has developed into best Center in conference and another probable ALL MAAC player. Wright had a fantastic start to season. Nico has been wow—best freshmen we have had at Siena since the Hasbrouck/Ubiles days. Not sure if Nico will win ROY—but he is the most talented freshmen in conference no matter how voting goes. LL has had his ups and downs but for most part solid. Kenny Wormely had a solid freshmen year filling in Wright- and we will be much better off for that not only in MAAC tournament but all of next year. Ryan was solid all year. We had a few head scratching losses, but overall a very enjoyable year. Still have MAAC tournament and post season - but we had type of year that the doctored ordered after 5 straight losing seasons. And best news is we have most of the pieces back next year.. and if I could borrow a line from a famous Iona poster. 25 wins without batting an eye next year( bahahaha) I hope it works out better for me than it did for Iona poster
But anyway congrats to Jimmy the staff and all the players for a great regular season- now let’s kick some ass this post season

Quite the Gauntlet facing us- Manhattan,Iona and Monmouth in 3 days. Good luck boys-leave it on the floor and maybe, just maybe, we'll all be dancing.

I think 23 wins next year sounds about right. Of course we will take 24 or 25, I just don't want to get too greedy too soon.

Well we will certainly have earned it if we get it done. We get to that third game, JP will be going pretty deep down that bench!

Absolutely, but if we have any puck who is to say they all make it that far. This is the MAAC, lots of upsets.

Very good regular season would have a great one had we not had the hiccups against Cornell, Marist etc... Hopefully next year with a senior dominated team and budding sophomore class led by Nico that doesn't happen. But if we can win 3 more games next weekend this season becomes a great one.

I've enjoyed watching this team in person at Cameron Indoor Stadium to now. If our three point shooting comes back, I like our chances in the future.

Brings in one more imapct guy, we could be scary good next year, but lets enjoy this moment now. We have a legit chance since it's on our home floor. Iona is still the best team at this point (Monmouth is a wild card right now without their lone senior), and will be a war if we see them again.

Experts, what would have been Saints record if Marquis had not gone down?

I would say not much different. Siena kind of jelled when he went down (mostly due to Nico). Maybe one more win?
Shout out to MB's players-- Imoh and Oliver- great kids, kind of star-crossed careers, but never a bad word. And also brett who has morphed into a rebounding machine and a 1st team player. Looks like what we saw in the CBI 2 years ago was not an aberration. Done w/ the LL topic I think we can expect some head scratching losses every year w. a JP lead team, just seems to follow him around. Then they/he wins a game they shouldn't, so it all balances out lol

I do think they would have won the Marist game if Marquis was out there
