Gorvy you are right...it's a moot point though as we're hopefully going to win the last three and get the #2 seed. I like 2nd and we (Siena) control our destiny.

It's exciting this time of year-- like Christmas and this time we are not getting coal.

They'are only two tournaments (NCAA,NIT)that I would like Siena to be in;the others no! I just heard Dan Patrick mention Siena on his show, something to do with charging the court after a big win!!GO SAINTS

It's too bad that you have such an elitist point of view regarding the smaller tournaments, even after Siena won one of them and beat penn state and Fresno state in the process at home. We hardly ever get to see these types of games during the regular season, so it is discouraging that you would give the admin another excuse to avoid quality games.

I do see his point though, not sure the CBI would be as exciting 3 years into a new coach. Yes, beats having a losing record, and they should play in it, if just for the extra games against possible "up" conference teams, but those tourneys surely aren't the goal.

Sure, that goes without saying. But Siena is not in a position to decline invites and fans should embrace the games.

Siena will get invited to one of the post season tourneys (is a guarantee based in rpi IMO).
I'll take any post season tourney.
However, moot point since I believe we'll win maac tourney and go to ncaa tourney.

Lie you outlook and certainly hope you are correct. Unless tem wakes up NCAA out of touch. Not on he coach not after this many games. These are young men they know what they need to do and yes they need to want the wins. Team needs to sit Quips down so be it. Quis intelligent to know since his return something is off, 3 days to fix the challenge. Its n physical mental psychological

Now it's really the NCAA tournament and everything else. I know the NIT has more prestige but the old NIT is gone with the NCAA owning it now. NIT probably has better TV coverage but getting to MSG is almost impossible now for a mid-major having to win three straight games at high-majors. The one good thing is if you are in the NIT from the MAAC that means you won the regular season title but lost in the conference tournament and barring a crazy 3 or 4 tie that's a big blow as the #1 seed.
I hope that we can start playing well again and win the MAAC championship on our home floor and go to the big dance. If not I want to keep playing (probably would rather go to the CIT) and hopefully winning games especially with just about everyone back for 2016-17.
FWIW - our RPI stayed at 99 last night - it helped that Wisconsin, Bucknell, Loyola, UAlbany, Vermont and St. Bonaventure all won.

The only fans interested in the lower tournaments are the Siena die-hards.(of which I am a member of)That's why they are played at the arc and not at TU center.I certainly do not have an elitist attitude when it concerns Siena but am not happy to wish for 3rd and 4th tier Tournaments!GO SAINTS!!

I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, but Siena (Men) played all their postseason (home) games at the Knick/Pepsi/TUC and Glens Falls Civic center except the two CBI Championship games (Which was mainly or even only due to it being booked one or two of the championship dates available). Besides, what does "where" Siena plays it's postseason games as long as they're in a postseason event? I do agree that the NCAA or NIT would be my friend rest choice (if not t were up to me) but I'll accept and enjoying y going to any post season tourney at this stage in Siena's history. Maybe after Siena makes the NCAA tourney 10+ years in a row (like a Gonzaga maybe) would I maybe "poo-poo" the notion of playing in a so called 3rd or 4th tier tourney. PS. The Siena women played some WCBI home games at the ARC, but that "is" their home court after all. Still not sure the intent of saying Siena plays their postseason games at the ARC comment (other than to dis Siena I r the lower tier tourneys). Siena isn't in a position to be picky about which post season tourneys since we don't reach them too often. JMO.

Any post season good with me. Concerned to read MAAC cut any supplement to off set costs. That 90 grand could be a difference maker this year in many ways,
