One is a Senior and the other a Freshman. We KNOW what we get in Silas. Some good blocks and some bad turnovers/fouls ...often with the later out-pacing the former. I also agree that his injury has essentially ended his career (at least mentally). Then you have a freshman who was highly ranked coming in and is struggling a little learning how to defend at this level. The things he got away with at the high school level... that became habits are now having to be dealt with. Fisher will be fine. He absolutely needs court time and this coach sees that. From a coaching perspective, with Brandwijk sitting out... you need to find out what youve got and just how far Fisher can get heading into the next two seasons. That impacts recruiting with Ogunyemi having just one more year.
Eligibility for Silas was not bad luck. It was a known issue during his recruitment and a big reason why many teams backed off recruiting him.... and Gomis.

I highly doubt fisher got away with the general shoving and pushing he does that gets him most fouls. my guess he rarely played against guys he is seeing every night (no idea what level he was in HS) so the speed and size difference is overwhelming right now... we shall see how he progresses, but he needs to do a lot of work in the weight room.

A foul is a foul but Evan's have not been of the "and 1" variety - just sayin'

Imoh and Evan have different strengths and weaknesses so when each plays is and should be dictated by what our opponent is doing. Marist was beating us off the dribble and getting to the rim at will in the second half. In come's Imoh, gets a couple of blocks and the dribble penetration stops. Evan wouldn't/couldn't fill that role. If we need a big guy to lay a body on another big guy in the paint and keep him off the glass and not be a liability on offense then Evan gets the call. IMO why one or the other is/isn't playing has been dictated by the circumstances on the court.

Imoh has had stone hands most games he has got into this year-has a had a few nice blocked shots but hasn't looked great-that being said he came back this year to help the team and JP should get him into some games when possible and he can help on D and with rebounding occasionally-he has historically been an asset on D- JP doesn't even give him time in blowouts
