We need Lavon to have at least one of the two games with Iona like the game he played against them in the league tournament last year. We were so close to beating them with their full arsenal of players. This year Casimir is out and Williams isn't having his typical year. I believe they are ripe for the picking in at least one of the two games.

Nico is the piece to build the next phase around... Wormely is a place holder and I am sure PG is a spot being looked at heavily in recruiting for next year.... Fisher, will give him time, could be one of those 9 and 7 guys by his senior year, always need those guys.

. On the radio lee was saying he might end up among the most prolific freshmen ever at Siena and is basically a lock for 1500 points. My unofficial research yields these results: Freshman total points Haddix- 440 Hymes- 415 Brown- 395 Ubiles- 377 McCoy- 359 Knapp- 357 Hasbrouck- 346 Clareth-343 Scoring Average Haddix- 13.8 Hymes- 13.4 Brown- 13.2 Clareth- 13.2 McCoy- 12.4 Hasbrouck- 12.4 Knapp- 12.3 Ubiles- 11.8 If Clareth remains hot, he will have good shot at setting freshman scoring records. I know this was unofficial, but just thought I would raise this. My son actually asked about Jack McClinton and it caused me to look him up. He had 403 points his freshman year. Your point remains, though. Nico is putting up points like some of our very best freshman. Edit: Ironically, McClinton is also from Baltimore.

For what it's worth, Jimmy has likened Khalil Richard to a slightly smaller version of McClinton.

Somebody else mentioned it here, but I think I was most impressed by Nico's court vision and passes last night.

If things don't go to his head the sky's the limit for Nico. He could possibly be one of the all time great MAAC players.

Fisher looked a lot more comfortable and I like how he didn't back down from Valenti

Not necessarily if it's due to a players effort in practices. Jimmy's been consistent with rewarding players time if they bring the effort in practices (from what I remember from Past two years). Look at the substitutions during games. Go Siena has this right. Would you say a player who obviously isn't awake to play a game at noon should stay in the floor because he brings effort in PRACTICE? In game situations you manage everything you have and dont have to come away with a win. AND please don't say I'm a JP hater. It's to the point sometimes where anyone who questions anything is accused of not being supportive. Last night....Nick ahead of Larose who could have gained some confidence because right now he has none and is looking like he never played basketball in his life was perplexing to me and that was just one example. Sorry that's the way I see it. Not about being a hater, because I'm not happy with the handling of LaRose either. BUT, I refuse to question strategies after 20pt+ wins. Hard to argue with results this year, especially with our best player going down for an extended period of time.

Sorry that's the way I see it. I guess all I can say is that I wasn't as upset or questioned it as much as others. Nick put in game last min of 1st half after the double technical, then put in at end of game w/3-4 mins to go. I agree that JP has funky subbing patterns or no pattern what so ever. I guess it doesn't bug me as maybe others. I'd like to see others play including LaRose, but I'm not the coach. I'll defer to him. I just enjoy the game and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed a good butt kicking of the Griffs.

The reason Cunningham plays over Kinnon, and even Cam, is he can play the point. The other two can't.
